Gun control debate (merged)

By limiting the number of guns that can be purchased by an individual in a particular time period......is a start
Link to bulk purchases traveling across state lines?

If your supposition was correct limiting legal gun purchases wouldnt slow them down. I doubt any individual is making bulk purchases everyday and driving into chicago everyday. So all they would have to do is have multiple people make purchases. They could easily stagger them to keep a daily purchase up if that's what they needed.

This is just another example of when it comes to this topic, Luther has zero clue what he's talking about. Dear Lord, he proves it to us over and over again...
I thought he has learned his lesson when he got owned on the teaching discussion and that’s literally the only thing he’s supposed to be intelligent about

I'm glad they took the steps necessary to keep it from quadrupling.

Said every German citizen in the 30s and 40s . Said the Russian citizens , said the citizens of China , said the citizens of Cuba, Venezuela and all North Koreans if they wouldn’t be shot immediately for just speaking in public . Stop letting government decide what best for everyone and take some responsibility. It’s much safer and history tells us this .

It's almost like Luther is trying to point out making things illegal doesn't stop them from happening.
Was there ever anyone stupid enough to believe it did?

That would be almost as stupid as thinking that sense making something illegal doesn't completely stop it from happening, then nothing should be illegal.

Mankind is free to kill themselves slowly. That is self-autonomy. But there's a reason why we don't allow drunk driving or 2nd hand smoke (in many instances).

The gun issue isn't about suicide afaik
Guys, he’s right. Since drunk driving was made illegal decades ago, there has not been anyone killed by a drunk driver.

If suicides are evidence that we need more restrictive gun laws, I would like to recommend more restrictive alcohol laws because of the alcoholism pandemic.
Must be since the cdc includes them in their mortality rate for firearms

No one will ever try to limit alcohol again. You'd think they could apply that to other things

WTH? Here was your statement:

"Because the current gun laws make it ridiculously easy to buy guns in one state and sell them in another. "

Pray tell, what "point" is being missed? On the one hand you state gun laws make it easy to buy guns in one state and sell in another and then when called out on being wrong, you then state we're missing your point because you really want to know how many guns are legally purchased in one state and illegally sold in another?

I know liberals have a hard time with logic, but crap. Maybe I'm wrong, I thought you were advocating for gun control of some sort, but now I have no idea what you're arguing. Heck, it does not appear you even know what you're arguing or are arguing with yourself like Braxton Bragg or something.
What? No one called me out on being wrong. It is ridiculously easy. I never once said it was legal to do it.
Just because there is a law making it illegal doesn't mean that it is still not easy.
You guys make that point constantly.
I'm for better laws. Laws that reduce the ease of illegal activity.
