Gun control debate (merged)

No idea, nor would it matter. You think "initial gun sales" are the big issue? 400,000,000++ already existing guns aren't enough for bad guys to get their hands on whatever they want?
Of course it matters.
You can't even give a ball park guess? Aren't you guys the gun experts?

Because the current gun laws make it ridiculously easy to buy guns in one state and sell them in another.
Just give me your ball park extimate.
What percentage of guns in circulation today were initially purchased legally?
What percentage of guns in Chicago today were initially purchased legally?
It's a felony to sell a handgun across state lines without a background check and FFL transfer.

Not at all. There have only been five minor incidences BECAUSE GUNS HAVE BEEN PROHIBITED.
There is no empirical evidence your claim is true.

How many intentional shootings have occurred at gun shows? After all, there are LOTS OF GUNS ALLOWED AT THOSE VENUES.

This is false. The law already prohibits this. The law requires that interstate gun sales/transfers be performed through a licensed dealer (requiring a background check).

This is why gun enthusiasts make the argument that gun control activists are really only after legally owned guns and lawful gun owners.

You're missing my point. How many guns are "legally" purchased in one state and then illegally sold in another?

Maybe they should make illegally selling firearms doubly illegal and that will stop people from breaking the law?
I see you are still missing the point.
They should not "legally" sell guns that can be reasonably assumed to have a high probability of then being sold illegally.

Lmao how do you stop that exactly. And if it’s the myth that Indiana is the reason for Chicago’s high crime rate why doesn’t Indiana who is awash with even more guns have the same issues. Hint. It’s not the legal selling of the guns

Maybe they should make buying guns with the intention of selling them to people that can't buy them illegal?
They already have....and we all know how stupid and ineffective that law is. I'm sure the gun lobby laughed their asses off over how easy that law was to circumnavigate.
