Gun control debate (merged)

To quote Jim Jefferies:

There is one argument and one argument alone for having a gun, and this is the argument… “f*** off. I like guns.” It’s not the best argument, but it’s all you’ve got. And there’s nothing wrong with it. There’s nothing wrong with saying, “I like something. Don’t take it away from me.” But don’t give me this other bulls**t. The main one is, “I need it for protection. I need to protect me. I need to protect my family.” Really? Is that why they’re called “assault rifles”? Is it? I’ve never heard of these f***ing “protection rifles” you speak of
Not exactly bolstering the gun control argument. "Assault rifle" is just a code word for gun that I'm afraid of.

It's OK to not like guns or be afraid of guns . . . but don't start talking in terms of curbing the Bill of Rights because you just don't understand or relate. This is like advocating for removal of the 1st amendment because protests are scary. Or being against the 4th amendment because you think the cops are always right.

That's one of the dumbest arguments I have ever seen about guns

I never kept mine loaded and readied for home defense.

You've never shown the ability to understand statistics
You guys should just concede all these points I'm making. Guns definitively don't make for a safer home. Just go with the only argument you got: I like guns and the constitution, as CURRENTLY interpreted, gives me the right to play Rambo.

You don't really got anything else to stand on.

So the BOR can withstand an attack from an unknown felon-turned-comedian foreigner and a pretend VN paralegal? That is amazing!

You may think you're safer by having a gun in the home. But statistics say otherwise.

Shut up and show your statistics and the source then....

The irony of your histrionics trying to convince us you have a good argument is adorable. You even put a bow on your stupid by not even showing the intellectual wherewithal to posit that weak argument without undermining it with an emotional invoking of Rambo.

The number of accidents vs the number of homes with a gun is what?

You have yet to make a valid point wrt gun control

The "play Rambo" comment is extremely telling. It's not that she disagrees with the interpretation of the Bill of Rights. It's that she can't fathom a scenario in her head where a gun would be useful and anything but scary, so the default is to just let the government control it.

Just Google do guns in the home make you safer. There's a sh*t ton of work out there saying no.
Google lol. Now look up the number of defensive uses of firearms plus the number of hunting and target practice with guns and compare that number to your weak argument of suicides, accidents and gun crimes

By people who think and understand math like you. The number is simply how many homes have a (legal) gun and how many have accidents. You claim to know that but won't share

How does hunting and target practice make a home with a gun statistically safer than a home without a gun?

Gun death rates haven't really changed much in the past 50 years.

yeah that is definitely coming thru. Especially when rights are described like this

Just go with the only argument you got: I like guns and the constitution, as CURRENTLY interpreted, gives me the right to

Why do you hate freedom?
