Gun control debate (merged)

So, what I’m hearing is, if I would like to start buying & collecting tools I should go with Rigid? (Honest newbie here, no shame in my game.)
You got to remember slice beats these tools up for a living. If you’re a “casual user” like myself you are going to have a tough time wearing out Dewalt, Rigid, or Milwaukee. I’d say more of a key is to choose a line and buy all within the line so all of your chargers and batteries play together. I have worn out one Dewalt hand tool in over 20 years and I abused the hell out of it. I repaired it and it lasted another 5+ years before it died. It was my first Dewalt cordless drill and I’ve got two more now.

I have a hodgepodge of power tools. Bosch, rigid and Milwaukee. I have the Rigid compound slider like Slice has and the tile saw. They are great.

Most of my personal power tools are Hitachi/Metabo.

For the crews we stick with Milwaukee and Rigid.

I always wondered if they were affiliated. Interesting.
I sold tools for a while and just happened to be training at Ridgid when these were first rolling out. It was a previously failed brand at HD that licensed the name and rebadged. Our trainer was not very happy about it because of the rep their.pipe/plumbing tools had
