Like I said just a second ago. If I do ever switch I’m going Ridgid. That no fault replacement is no joke.

So, what I’m hearing is, if I would like to start buying & collecting tools I should go with Rigid? (Honest newbie here, no shame in my game.)

You got to remember slice beats these tools up for a living. If you’re a “casual user” like myself you are going to have a tough time wearing out Dewalt, Rigid, or Milwaukee. I’d say more of a key is to choose a line and buy all within the line so all of your chargers and batteries play together. I have worn out one Dewalt hand tool in over 20 years and I abused the hell out of it. I repaired it and it lasted another 5+ years before it died. It was my first Dewalt cordless drill and I’ve got two more now.

I’d say more of a key is to choose a line and buy all within the line so all of your chargers and batteries play together. I beat dewalt tools every day and there’s no quality problems. I did burn up the Milwaukee impact driver given to me by the Milwaukee Rep. it lasted about 8 weeks

I have a hodgepodge of power tools. Bosch, rigid and Milwaukee. I have the Rigid compound slider like Slice has and the tile saw. They are great.

20+ years ago my buds were asking why are you paying for Dewalt you won’t ever use them up. Exactly? 20+ years later they have their answer.

Dewalt has a similar system. I own one box for my rando tools that don’t have their own case. But they stack/interlock with a dolly system.

They're expensive so unless you are using them for your job it's hard to justify the expense.

Most of my personal power tools are Hitachi/Metabo.

For the crews we stick with Milwaukee and Rigid.
