Market shareI didn’t know that . It’s interesting that they only said Walgreens instead of all their stores . Makes me wonder if they are pulling something like Walmart did with specific ammo for PR .
That would be a brilliant idea , take one store do the grandstanding with it and pull one group in , then if some customers go to the others you own you boost your sales there .
Or what it compares like to before 1994, how they are qualifying mass shootings. You how Obama changed the way the federal government records those things. To make it more "accurate" for the numbers they want.A new study found that the frequency and deadliness of public mass shootings declined while the federal assault weapons ban was in place from 1994 to 2004. Since it lapsed, deaths from mass shootings have jumped 347 percent.
I like this very much, el. Very revealing study.
Just for grins and giggles can we compare deaths from mass shootings since prayer was not allowed in school and when it was? You know, since were looking for causation/correlation, and all.
One thing Americans do well, perhaps better than anyone else in the world, is push back when shoved by authorities. If you want to guarantee Americans dig in their heels, go after them and what they hold dear.Or what it compares like to before 1994, how they are qualifying mass shootings. I would also like to see the address the fact that everytime they push gun control stuff it just spikes private gun buying. They are literally making it worse every time they open their mouths. They have sold far more guns then the NRA ever could have hoped for. "We want gun ownership to go down, so we are going to go about it in a way that actually increases gun ownership." The irony fits in so well with how much they dont know wth they are talking about.
I wish there was more of that instead of sitting back and waiting for the government to do something for them. One thing Americans do well, perhaps better than anyone else in the world, is push back when shoved by authorities. If you want to guarantee Americans dig in their heels, go after them and what they hold dear.
Gun owners, homosexuals, blacks, ...doesn't matter the issue; if the authorities say "you can't", Americans say "watch me".

We found that public mass shootings — which we defined as incidents in which a gunman killed at least six people in public — dropped during the decade of the federal ban.
Using the Mother Jones mass shooting database, we identified the number of gun massacres over a 35-year period. (And following the F.B.I.’s approach, we excluded crimes of armed robbery and gang or domestic violence in evaluating public active shooter incidents.) Compared with the decade before its adoption, the federal assault weapon ban in effect from September 1994 through 2004 was associated with a 25 percent drop in gun massacres (from eight to six) and a 40 percent drop in fatalities (from 81 to 49).
In the decade after the ban, there was a 347 percent increase in fatalities in gun massacres, even as overall violent crime continued downward.
So they've played with numbers and excluded other stats that would destroy their narrative all so they could say "347 percent increase in fatality."
So how many mass shooting are they claiming happened in that period from 94 to 2004? Six. As in 1 2 3 4 5 6. In a 10 year period. They're increasing the required number of victims and removing a bunch of other events all to make it look like there has been a massive jump. According to the article there was 8 events in the 10 years before the legislation and 6 during.
So what's a 347 percent increase from 49? They don't want to say that number over 10 years. They'd rather say 347% increase.
Now earlier this year the usual people were saying there had been like 200+ mass shootings this year alone! Why the dishonesty in numbers????
My dad came home late one night and my sister and I decided to scare him. We split up and he went her way, she jumped out and yelled and he kicked her in the knee and whacked her in the head with the newspaper. That was a better outcome than I could have ever imagined. That does it for me. I'm turning in my self defense weapons because some stupid woman didn't know how to handle hers.
