When UT goes to the playoffs, then the administration should get a little leeway. When UT only beats 2 teams that aren't an absolute joke of a football program, is starting the budget under a 6.5 million deficit due to buyouts from poor hiring decisions, has had a national hc debacle, and ultimately hired the guy that steered this ship into the abyss in the first place as an AD, then there needs some to be some accountability. I get that Fulmer loves UT football, but that doesnt necessarily make him good at his job. Lennie loved tending the rabbits and I'm afraid the rabbit is going to end up like Lennie's. I say he gets his chance but if this doesnt work, Fulmer should not be allowed to hire another coach here.

Just go back to the uga board. You are no UT fan , you are a uga fan that has over here to bash the hiring of Chaney as Fulmer stole him to your disgust. Please enlighten us on what a great hire that “smartt “ made w his OC and DC hires.

As far as I can tell, the only people to make the OC hire into a "national debacle" is VN. You appear to be one of those leaders. Time for you to STFU and enjoy the ride since that's what you tend to want to do to everyone else.

You didn't really address the post you quoted, you just said the same things you've been saying, differently. You're not happy with pretty much anything UT Football and if we don't start winning you want someone held accountable. Is that close?

My point was it doesnt matter if you dont have blind loyalty if you make stupid decisions after the firing. Happened with Hammy, happened with Currie, even happened when Pearl got fired.

I’m never one to be overly optimistic, but your post is purely made up nonsense. I wonder if some people don’t just come here to try and make everyone else feel bad about everything.

The current Fulmer reminds me of the old Fulmer. The old Fulmer that was driven and hungry and competitive as hell to piss off his rivals and always keep a leg up on the competition. There is a long way to go, but the seeds are being planted.

Hiring Pruitt away from Bama ended up paying some dividends as it very well may have cost Bama another title. Hiring Chaney away from your division rival, who is clearly the top program in your division is a win. Especially after the so-called long wait to hire an OC with the perception that it was going badly...all the while having a plan and their guy all along....UGA can act like it's no big deal and that they weren't happy with Chaney...but that's a lie.....it is a huge deal and he's responsible for MUCH of UGAs success over last few seasons...

The hiring of Tee Martin.....not only is Tee a UT legend and title winner, he's a Bama native. Fulmer beat out Bama and others for Tee's services as a recruiter. It was a big deal. The methodical Fulmer was very strategic in his timing of when to pull the trigger on the Chaney and Tee hirings and when to announce. Bringing Tee out for the crowd at TBA against Bama was perfect timing. A way to agitate your rival just a little more and a way to be a thorn in their side.

Pruitt is the head coach and is making these decisions. But, don't think for a bit that Fulmer doesn't have his hands in the mix. It's great to see and feel the competitive spirit back in the football program of UT going directly after the top competition in the conference....
