Greenland

Trump leaks texts, threatens Macron and trashes Starmer

They have no problem with the bombs and invasions as long its not in Europe. ( Its great that you are destroying Syria and destabilizing Iran but why touch Greenland)šŸ˜‚

We can negotiate anything but our sovereignty, says Danish PM

You only have as much sovereignty as the U.S. allows -> u.s. world reserve currency. What happens if the orange man says, if you don't take the deal it goes down each day?

You weak ass SOBs, what are you going to do?

These people might be on the Ukrainian side of the dumb scale.
You’re a fool if you think us being bullies and possibly leading to the loss of lives makes us ā€œstrongā€ the only weak person in all of this is our dumbass president

Actually, I don't think I have said that or implied that. I would say they are a bunch of wussies that didn't have a problem bombing, invading, and ****ing up other countries -- just as long as it wasn't them. As far as Europe, I said in 2022, they will collapse -- nothing can stop that.

I can't condone this in part, but Trump isn't completely wrong either. I don't feel bad for those people, look at the texts that wimpy french puss is sending Trump. F him.

What do you think has been going on for like decades now? They were all okay with it. You think I should feel sorry for them?

What exactly do you think the U.S. has been doing? You were probably completely fine with it. Trump isn't wrong, they're going to collapse and no they can't defend themselves -> see how weak they are, a few words and they're scared shitless.

So, the good guys bomb everything but Greenland?

We've seen this show before, its called "TACO."

And in this episode of the series, Trump will once again get talked down off the ledge. He'll be pacified with some face-saving gesture, maybe an award of some kind plus a meaningless promise to allow more bases (hint: we can already do that per a 1951 treaty).

Trump will claim he's won some new concession of some meaning, he'll have a 3 hour cabinet meeting where the usual gang will laud his brilliance (while behind closed doors they are rolling their eyes at his latest impulsive nonsense) ... and nothing will actually change.

U.S. already has full ability to add to military infrastructure there...he is telling them they have no cards. Is that what happened in Venezuela?

Exactly.

Trump either doesn't know that or it isn't what this is about.
There has to be more to the story here. Greenland seems like proposal out of left field, but historically we’ve been down this road before a couple of times framed as a national security issue… which makes sense.

Theyre splitting up the new world order. Barely anything out of Russia and china...quiet...putin is saying good luck Europe get on your knees.

Lots of this doctrine have been spoken about for a very long time. The only question was whether it would be Russia or Europe for central control...that question has been resolved.

He's an idiot. People claiming TACO on him are retarded. Are you paying attention? Do you seriously think after Iran attack and Venezuela people think he's FOS? Only a very small person would

This is completely insane. The Danes can't protect it. They need someone. They've flirted with an option we won't allow. But I still don't understand the stance when diplomacy is the much better option.

I personally don't agree with this doctrine, so I generally don't care about Greenland. With that said, ole French Fry Macron has no problem supporting regime change, take over, puppets and bombings in other places. I wouldn't shed one tear for them if it was them. The U.S. doesn't have to fight over it - tariffs and sanctions are diplomacy which is why even sanctions were being placed on European countries in the time of Biden for non-compliance.

Europe is about as free as the Ukraine.

France has no problem being in fights all over the world, as long as its not them on the end of the stick and daddy is over there doing it all.

The Biden administration on Thursday imposed sanctions on five Turkish companies and a Turkish national, accusing them of helping Russia evade sanctions and supporting Moscow in its war against Ukraine.

The US has been there since WW2. We can do whatever we want and still allow Greenland to exist as its own country. Trump only wants it for minerals, metals, and to brag about doubling the size of America. Or increasing the size by one million % or whatever backwoods math he does.

I’d say that’s the best case scenario.

I think people, especially his supporters, feel the need to see some sanity in this. They claim it’s to protect us from Russia and China, or they say things like ā€œit’s a good idea in theory, but he’s gone about it the wrong way.ā€ It fits the narrative of Trump ā€œthe disruptorā€ who ā€œisn’t a typical politicianā€ but is always ā€œputting America first.ā€ If people can see some sanity in the idea, they can see some in him.

When in reality this more like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum because his parents won’t give him what he wants.

9 previous US Presidents also made an attempt to buy Greenland, so there is a consensus of it's strategic importance for over 100 years among the US thinkers

lol

We're back to TACO after the narrative was "He's an authoritarian warmonger that's invading our neighbors! He has no self control!"

Y'all seriously need to make up your minds.

When was the last time, and how many threatened Greenland?
Reagan and the Joint Chief of Staffs considered it in the early 1980s, but it went back as far as the same time of the Louisiana Purchase.

Also several times from 1940-1985, especially during the Cold War, the Joint Chiefs privately "threatened" to take Greenland because they could

Can you share some specifics. What your saying seems pretty vague. I see nothing about Reagan, and the last thing I can see about a genuine purchase attempt seems to be from 1955.

If anyone attacks or invades Greenland, NATO is obligated to defend them. It's protected as of now. The only immediate threat they face is from the US, which is bizzare.
