With this latest example of self absorbed childish ridiculous behavior can we finally all admit the two party system has failed miserably and start to seriously consider a third party choice?

What’s that going to solve? Without killing off 1/2 or more of our federal government we could have a dozen political parties and it wouldn’t matter.

Ultimately, he’s trying to downplay the effects of Trump’s buffoonish behavior.
Cut him some slack, he's feeling a lot of cognitive dissonance between his desire for America to engage in isolationism again, and his desire to support Trump's imperialist expansionism at the same time.

It has to be mentally exhausting.

Which is dumb because their game is propping up dictators to rob your resources. If you try to argue China is somehow better than the US in terms of fairness or policy, then you are not a serious person.
I am not saying that. I am saying the world is choosing China. IDK if that is fairness, policy, or something else. but our bad actions are making China look better than they are.

this isn't even a Trump problem, he is part of it, but this has been going on for decades.

If you don’t like my response then don’t offer up weak rationalizations why we need to stick with a failed two party system. Deal?
Maybe my reading comprehension is off, but I didn't see any rationalization for why we need to stick with a two party system in his comment.

I agree with his comment. Adding a viable 3rd party won't change the status quo unless a federal government "house cleaning" takes place.

ND40 is getting old a senile. Plus he's a Texifornian.

We desperately need this in the USA:

I'm not advocating that we stick with a 2 party system, I'm just pointing out that multiple parties won't fix what's broken.
That sure looks like an excuse to stick with the status quo to me. Hell I’d settle on ranked choice voting which each state can implement today without federal interference since the constitution is quiet on how states assign their electors.

In my follow on post I made it clear I wasn’t just pointing to POTUS but all federal offices.

Also butt out of me and Hogg arguing with each other 😬

I'm sure a lot of things look different to you than they really are. But it wasn't an excuse to stick with the 2 party system.

The size and power of our feral government is THE PROBLEM. We have bureaucrats with more power than our elected officials, I thought overturning Chevron was going to take care of a lot of that but apparently it's done nothing to scale back the bureaucracy. Until the federal government is wrestled out of the hand of career bureaucrats and scaled back there is no amount of alternative political parties that's going to alleviate the problem.

I was about to come back and make a post on exactly this. We both agree the SIZE of the federal government is the fundamental issue. It is a fat bloated inefficient jabba the hut. And neither majority party is serious on shrinking it. No DOGE wasn’t a serous effort to shrink the federal government size (that’s not at you it’s just a general comment.)

So what we need is a third party whom has a foundation plank in their platform to shrink the size of the federal government. Hmmmmm…. Where could we find one of those. 😬

Looks like a possible reset or the basic terms have already been laid out (with Russia and China/India), something I've been mentioning. That is why there isn't much fanfare about all this world wide. Europe is toast, he's just telling them differently than I would tell them.... I actually told them 3+ years ago.

There are no good options remaining for Europe, just a series of very bad options.

You can't find one because one of the two big dogs will eat that 3rd little party, see the Tea Party.
