Maybe not, but why capitulate to China, turn a blind eye to theft? Why continue to support a country that basically steals every intellectual thought without any pushback? When the US brings something to their attention, usually to benefit them, they **** the bed?

Unless China/India go along with the plan there really isn't much the U.S. can do to them, not really.

Then why wasn’t it in the most recent published National Security Strategy? I’m gonna guess for similar reasons to why Venezuela was never listed as a source of Fentanyl in the DEA’s most recent published report on illegal drugs sourcing?

Notice how we haven't heard a peep about Venezuelan "narco terrorist boats" since trump got some Venezuelan oil funds transferred into a Qatari bank account?

Even when Trump did the presser discussing the Maduro snatch operation the F word never came up. Not once.

The point is there were likely never Venezuelan narco boats in the first place. The only confirmation I remember reading was when wreckage of one washed ashore. It had weed in it. And no that whole exercise was not warranted for any amount of weed.

Probably only a matter of time before we hear about migrant caravans coming through Canada from Greenland.

Yep. Narcotics trafficking wasn't even a condition of them being able to sell their oil on the market again.

MAGA has just memoryholed the entire predicating reason for the Venezuelan operation to begin with, and now it's "Venezual stole US oil".

I expect the same will be done with Greenland. The original premise of "we have to have it to feel secure" will make way for "Danes weren't effectively utilizing the natural resources, and we had to go in to manage them properly", and MAGA will bobblehead along when not a peep about security is mentioned again.

If that actually does happen that is grounds for the 25th. And if he actually uses military force to take Greenland that is also another instance of time to invoke the 25th.

It’s going to be an interesting first quarter to see what SCOTUS rulings we get back. Will they actually invoke the constitution to reel his ass back in. And it will be just as interesting to see his response. As we have seen on the Epstein files legislation response they just said “well there are no penalties/consequences called out so the legislation is not enforceable”. If that response is allowed to stand that’s a really bad omen.

I mean, he did just admit to the fact that his desire for Greenland, is based in an erroneous belief that the Norwegian government blocked him from getting the Nobel peace prize, in spite of him "ending eight wars".

Jesus effing christ, just typing that out makes me feel dumber by national association.

So that touches on a point I considered earlier today. I read on here all the time “who cares what country XYZ thinks.” Ok so if you’re out and your child is acting like an uncontrollable heathen and you correct that behavior it isn’t necessarily because you care what others might think. That could be part of it but it isn’t all of it. It’s because the child is a reflection on you. It’s not that you care what others think. It’s that you expect better behavior out of your child

Trump is just being Trump. (don't take that to mean this is what I condone or would do) What is dumb is what Europe has been doing the last 30 years which is the road the U.S. was on. He could say its about the inability of Europeans to take showers with soap, it doesn't matter as he is right meaning they are not really aren't factor.

Trump is right on the "why", Europe doesn't count.

Not the Tea Party I remember. Fiscal boundaries were a key platform item. MAGA spends like a drunken sailor on Subic Bay shore leave.

ETA I’ll concede several were nucking futts. Bachmann also being the first they comes to mind for me.

Funny, I thought the tea party was really saying the same thing as the green hair people wanting to shut down the banks. Everyone is being given the illusion of choice by trying to get people to disagree. Every candidate for example up until basically the last election or so has ran on ejecting the illegals, so everyone thought it was a great idea but somehow its an issue now.

The failure of the tea party (or McCain/Romney) lead to Trump, imo.
