Greenland

It’s smart for Denmark to include forces from other NATO members. Taking Greenland militarily could risk confrontation with other NATO forces. That should be a deterrent to Trump, but who knows.

President Trump has recovered from the spontaneous bone spurs in his feet so he is ready to fight, fight, fight.

I saw the other day that Trump directed the military to draft invasion plans. I know an invasion is extremely unlikely, but, if you’re Denmark, it’s better to prepare for the worst case outcome than be caught off guard. Denmark is doing the smart thing here IMO.

Off guard or on guard, the most Denmark could do is put up a speedbump and get a lot of their people killed. But in any case, we're not invading Greenland.

There needs to be an invasion plan. That’s very different than planning to invade territory controlled by Denmark. D-Day was an invasion. There were plans drafted long before 6/6/1944.

If Trump attacks Greenland, he is destroying the world order. Make no mistake. NATO would be done. Is this what the moronic Maga folks want?

**** Donald Trump, ************, idiot

The polls overwhelming show that Greenlanders want to leave Denmark. Now there isn't polls that support Greenlanders wanting to join USA. One move is that Greenland and Iceland can join together.

He’s not attacking Greenland. My goodness man chill the hell out.

An order to attack Greenland would be an illegal order.

Here are verifiable quotes and statements from Donald Trump (and his administration, attributed to him) that relate to threatening or not ruling out military action to take control of Greenland — an autonomous territory of Denmark — drawn from reputable news sources:

🗣️ Statements by Donald Trump

1. Trump refused to rule out military force to take Greenland
In an interview, Trump was asked about using force to acquire Greenland. His response included:

“I don’t take anything off the table.”
“I think there’s a good possibility that we could do it without military force. But I don’t rule it out.”
This was in the context of discussing Greenland’s strategic value and U.S. national security. (Military.com)
2. Trump suggested the U.S. would “get Greenland”
In comments reported from another interview:

“We’ll get Greenland. Yeah, 100 percent.”
“There's a good possibility it could be done without military force … I don't take anything off the table.”
This was said while declining to fully rule out military action to seize the territory. (AOL)
3. Trump said the U.S. would have Greenland “one way or the other”
In remarks reported by multiple outlets:

“…one way or the other, we’re gonna have Greenland.”
“And if we don’t do it [via deal], Russia or China will.”
This was framed as a near-threat to assert control if necessary. (Yahoo)
4. Trump wrote that U.S. control of Greenland is “unacceptable” to settle for anything less
On his social platform:

“NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the UNITED STATES.”
“Anything less than that is unacceptable.”

This is not an explicit military threat, but it signals pressure and unwillingness to accept diplomatic outcomes short of U.S. control. (Military.com)

🪖 Statements by Trump Admin On Military Option

While not direct quotes from Trump, officials have attributed this position to his policy stance:

“Utilizing the U.S. military is always an option at the commander-in-chief’s disposal.”
This White House statement — tied to Trump’s policy — was widely reported as indicating that military action remains on the table. (The Guardian)

✔️ Context & Notes

  • These statements do not reflect an actual military attack being launched — but they are public remarks where Trump either refuses to rule out military force or speaks in terms that imply pressure to acquire the territory.
  • Greenland is an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark and a NATO ally; such rhetoric drew strong criticism internationally. (The Guardian)
