Ukraine is BY FAR the most valuable state Russia lost when USSR broke up. It isn't even close.
It has over 60 Million people, it was the breadbasket of the old Russian Empire, it has tons of metal resources (something Hitler went for in WW2), and was one of the major heavy industrial regions of the USSR.
There is a reason Ukraine gets invaded a lot. I don't think Russia can truly be a global superpower again without at least part of Ukraine. I think Putin thinks that as well so, from a power standpoint, it made sense that Russia wanted to take over Ukraine.
They already are a global superpower which is why the continue on without any or limited connection to the global financial system. The Ukraine is mostly not valuable, the people are a negative asset.
Best course of action is the same I said 3+ years ago, flatten it, push those people into Poland. Problem resolved.
No they are not, but even if true so what?
So, if they are vassal of the United States, that is good?
USA doesn't have claims on Russian territory, China does. That area around Vladivostok and that port itself will likely be part of China in the next 20 years. To be fair, Russia took it from Manchu China in the 19th Century so the Chinese see it as a way to reclaim their land.
Go play Victoria 3 and you will see the areas of Russia that are owned by China in that point of history. China wants those areas back.
it is up to Greenland if they want to be part of the US, not a NATO decision. If Trump makes them an offer they can't refuse NATO can do nothing about it.You're a special kind of stupid aren't you.
Remember Denmark is a member of NATO. If we attack Greenland, we trigger Article 5 of NATO and are obliged to come to the defense of Greenland.
You want to start World War 3 with our allies d******?
TRUMP BEING STUPID TRUMP.
