Greenland

Reality is only real within your mind, it's artificial outside of that.

Oh my. I stand corrected. I guess you're right when you claim the United States did not declare war on Germany and, instead, just sat on its hands and let free Europe fight the Nazis alone.

🤣

Because he was trying to wrap his argument in "anti-colonialism" in an attempt to give it more gravitas.

I used VI as an example, because they are a de facto US colony, that we obtained from Denmark, and part of the deal, was us recognizing Greenland as Danish territory.

Again, Denmark isn't forcing Greenland to remain a part of Denmark at the moment; Greenland hasn't called a binding referendum under the 2009 independence framework because there's not support for independence if it lowers the quality of life.
Now this is a great post. No half-a##ed insults but good points to discuss! Seriously!

Don't think he meant it the way you took it. Not saying you were wrong, I didn't take it that way and maybe clarification is needed.

The VI and all that background have zero to do with the situation at hand unless the deed says the VI revert back to the Danes if we invade or do something with Greenland.

We agree on the forcing issue. They're not being forced per se, they just have limited choices.

He never said the US did not declare war on Germany. No one said that until you did. What he said was is Germany declared on the US.

That did solve a political problem for FDR because it was generally recognized it was going to require the US to defeat them and we had no legal reason for going to war with Germany at the time.

So I can pretty much guarantee you that I know 10 times as much about World War II than you'll ever know. And yes FDR wanted us to enter the war far earlier than we did. He wanted Japan to attack us. He wanted us to be drawn into the war because he recognized rightly that we needed to enter the war to stop imperialist aggression.

Thank God we had wise leaders back then unlike the moron in charge now.

FDR wanted to get into the war to take over Brittan's colonies. Had he lived he'd have divided the world up with Stalin and we'd have been the largest colonial power on the planet.

You don't really know much about the war if you believe FDRs intentions were altruistic.

You have evidence of this secret plot for a globe-spanning US empire, that only FDR wanted, and died with him?

FDR has been whitewashed and propagandized into some selfless hero and he was far from that. It’s no secret that he idolized Stalin.

I really don't care much about your opinion on FDR, but let's go back to this American Empire that he was going to build with Stalin, splitting the world in two.

What's the basis for this belief?
