Oh, I've heard some Kentucky fans admit it. There's a reason it's so recognizable. The great thing about Tennessee is that it has SO much about it that is recognizable as "Tennessee": the orange, the huge stadium, the original nickname, Rocky Top, etc.

Imagine you're a UK fan. You play in an average stadium. Your color is blue. Your nickname is "Wildcats." Your fight song is...?

They're pretty generic in a lot of ways, which is why so many of them criticize our orange and Rocky Top. But some will admit admiration...I've heard it first hand.
Very well put:clapping:

I always hated the nolie chop. When the Gators started the chomp I was disappointed. I feel that it is also annoying and it's like copy cat.

I suggest that playing rocky top 57 times (more?) a game is annoying enough and you don't need a hand signal.

Some guy invented a hand signal for UT. It was in the Sentinel about four years ago. It was basically just the shocker, but if you looked at your fingers, it sort of looked like they spelled Vol. Derrick Tinsley did it in a photo in Sports Illustrated on Campus, and they were going to use it as the cover, but they didn't feel putting the shocker on the cover was a good idea. Thus, the cover was instead some shirtless dude with a Power T on his chest.

I remember this, I was attendin UTK at the time... I wish it wouldve stuck!!

Justin Harrell just scored against the Titans.

Aaron Rodgers the 80's called they want their porn stasche back

Rocky Top is OK, but I DO wish the Pride of the Southland and the cheerleaders could come up with something fast and rocking that would include a cheer or chant unique to UT. I know, I know, Rocky Top does that, but frankly, it's slow and dated. (Not saying get rid of it; just add a new song to the repertoire.)

What about V-O-L-S V O L S VOLS Go Vols Go:rock:

SERIOUSLY. I can't help but smile when I hear it. Or tear up, depending on whether it's football season or not. Anyway, not a single song in the world makes me as happy as Rocky Top does every time I hear it. :)

Truer words were never spoken. Also, there's nothing I love more than knowing how much every other SEC team hates it.

In Raleigh,North Carolina at High Park Sports Bar during the Tennessee TV viewing party for the game Saturday we must have had 50 volunteer fans in the bar. It was so cool seeing all the orange. The best part was when we would all sing Rocky Top....it was electric. So I would say Rocky Top is by far better then any other teams hand signal or slogan.

SMTTT Southern Miss To The Top

Houston fans use the shocker because they once had a live cougar mascot with three legs

It's great to be is used by just about every single team in the country just like 2 bits

I have heard Oklahoma State use cowboy up.

I kinda like Rocky Top, but its too overused. Its a really great song and kinda gets stuck in your head, but they play it everytime even the smallest play happens. Florida does the same thing with the Jaws them.

I think my favorite cheer has to be Izod, Izod Alligator Piss if S*** was a college they would call it Ole Miss. Thats a usm cheer for ya.
