You ain't seen disrespect yet. Your coach just fleeced your wallet and is laffin all the way to the bank. Will go down in history as a coach fired from 2 orange programs. It is amazing to see a fan base forget this is a tournament sport and you fell in love with a coach that drops out in Tourneys!!

What do I know? We paid top 5 coach money for someone who hasn't won a National Championship. Hasn't even won the SEC tournament. Was ready to jet because he knows 2019 is a rebuilding year. Please tell me what your expectations are for Barnes should bone and Williams leave? His ceiling at 65 is 5 more years. 2 of those will be recruiting and coaching up young talent. Top talent aren't knocking down his door so don't expect immediate results. If you want a rebuild coach I could get it for 3 mill. If u want a coach to win championships for top 5 money u could have let him walk and hired Pearl and I don't even like Pearl. This is a bad deal. I like Barnes but give me a break dude. This reeks of desperation to not be turned down for the first time in AD athletics in a long time. Hell man, Pearl is 59. Give him 6 mill before u give Barnes 4.7 for 5 more years. What are ur expectations, I hope Fulmer's arent conference championships and titles. It isn't going to happen with Barnes.

We were picked to finish near the bottom of the SEC last season and won the regular season title...I am not too worried about pre-season rankings.

There are a lot of unknowns, but there is also a lot of promise. James is the best prospect we've signed in a long time, maybe since T Harris. J Johnson is extremely athletic, and I expect him to look like a different, more confident kid by the fall. Burns has a similar frame to GW and has had the luxury of working with the 2x SEC POY. Plus, there is at least a reasonable chance that Williams, Bone, or both return.

We're losing our lengthy shot blocker and rebounder in KA, but we had to play without him a lot of the time, anyway, due to foul trouble. This is the one spot I'm a little nervous about.

All in all, if the chips fall our way, we could very well be a top-10 team. If Bone and Williams leave, we don't see progress in our younger guys, or if we have an injury or two, it could be a tough year. That's why pre-pre-season polls are kind of useless.

We ll see what we normally do every year.

Teams winning, teams losing and that preseason (in this case well before rosters are even set) poll will have changes every week next season from top to bottom.

The idea that it really means this or that less than a week after the NC is just silly.

The negative energy is emanating from you. You strike me as the type of person who could win 1 million dollars on a lottery ticket, and then complain because it wasn’t 2 million. Rick Barnes just went 31-6 and was a tuff call away from leading a team full of 3 star recruits to the elite 8... He is worth the money.

Barnes isn’t actually known as a player developer. That’s a thing people made up because he can’t recruit at Tennessee. We just destroyed the programs finances because Barnes caught lightening in a bottle with Grant Williams.

Pre-season or even mid season rankings are worthless. Do you expect us to be highly rated after losing Grant,Bone and Admiral???

not being ranked in a pre season poll carries about the same weight being ranked #1 in January does.

if grant and bone don't get the news they want from the draft evaluators....and come back...i think you'll see the polls change pretty quickly...

You strike me as someone who has never stepped foot on a basketball court if you are agreeing that Rick Barnes is not worth the money. In two years he took a team that was predicted to finish 13th in the sec and won 31 games with them..

Explain Jordan Bone then. He was awful as a freshman, and progressed into one of the best point guards in the country by his jr year.
