.... and UGA goes out and signs what some consider to be the #3 returning QB in the nation for the 2020 season and the #1 2021 QB.

Uga wouldn't switch ANY position on the field with Tenn and you're absolutely out of your mind if you think so. Still loaded with 4 and 5* at every position. Beat the #7 team with our second string playing and Tenn beat Indiana by ONE point so please tell me what we would want to trade?
I've been a ghost reader for awhile on here. Usually just laugh at the roller coaster ride your program is on from the ultimate down of losing your opener to a GSU team that had no business winning that game to the Everest highs of beating Indiana by one point. Don't get me wrong, the 6 game win streak is impressive but the majority of y'all are completely delusional when it comes to where your program actually is. This year you hit middle of the pack. I think next year you will be between 7-5 and 9-4..leaning more towards the 9-4 area, but still in no way would uga trade any position you have for what we have.
Obviously plenty of UT homers on VN....but it’s not homerism to say uga would love to trade UT at least 2-3 OL, 1-2 WR, a LB, and a DB. I’ll take that as good progress since we were 5-7 a year back.

As far as lineman yeah we would probably like to have Mays back. But I think we have a better wr corps now and I honestly don't see a player tenn has on defense that would start over any of our guys. Last season we definitely would have taken your two top wr as they were monsters on the field but this season I think we're better set there. We had Wolfe last season and could tell he was well coached coming over from tenn. That said give it a few more years and I can see you guys competing as the LSU in the East. Every now and then you guys will go on a run and top uga and Florida for the top spot

2017 - UGA won SEC, lost National Championship game

2018 - Lost SEC Champ game. Made CFP, but didn’t make the National Championship game because got knocked out in round 1. (1 step back)

2019 - Lost SEC Champ game, did not even make college football playoff. (1 more step back)

2020 prediction - UGA does not win SEC East (would be 1 more step back)

Sorry, but as a general rule, I don’t listen to grown men who bark like a dog.

I don't think most experts would consider UGA finishing 2nd in the SEC to LSU a "step back". LSU was arguably one of the best teams in CFB football history, especially offensively. We finished the season 12-2 with a pretty decisive win over #7 Baylor and ended up #4 in the country.

None of use knows what 2020 will hold, especially with our new QB, OC and what influence Luke will have over our young but star-studded o-line, and how Faulkner will handle our QBs. But our defense should be sick nasty. We're returning 9 starters on a team that gave up 3 rushing TDs all season, and 11 only PPG. We gave up only gave up 21 rushing yds to UF. The kids we have replacing those two starters might be better than the guys they're replacing.

If we can score 21-24 PPG on offense, we're going to be a very good football team, and not a step back from 2019 at all.

playing for the sec title 3 years in a row and winning one. Losing national championship in overtime. Top 4 team again this year. Now always in the conversation as a contender for a national championship. Kirby is doing a terrible job it seams. Man I wish we could trade the last 3 years for the Vols accomplishments. With what georgia has done in the last 3 weeks it looks like they are setting the stage to be right back in the mix...again.

I think the celebration of Georgia’s demise is premature

We get one of their 5 star players and suddenly there is no contest. Granted they lost a lot on offense but they also have recruited well and we are Tennessee.

I think the East is getting more competitive and that's good for the division. But, until the accolades have been earned on the field, they're all conjecture. Tennessee and Florida have made strides, no doubt. But I think UGA is still in the driver's seat for the foreseeable future. Kirby is a very, very good coach.

No one thinks Kirby is doing a bad job. In fact, we are very sympathetic here on Vol Nation. We feel bad that Kirby always has and always will shat the bed in big games....

Cade Mays wouldn’t be our best OL if he started tomorrow. You would love to have Trey Smith and judging by Cade’s performance at LT in the bowl you would take Wanya Morris. You’d likely want Kennedy our 6th yr Sr C, too. Perhaps 5* Fr Wright at RT or Calbert the Jr who was taking his snaps late in the year. Josh Palmer is not better than Pickens but he’s better than your #2 WR and I bet you’d take Deangelo Gibbs back if he’s clean and sober.

Your D is stacked but you would take LB To’oto’o and CB Thompson.

We have a line stacked of Tre Hill-4* C with lots of experience, Ben Cleveland 4*-G with lots of experience, Jamaree sayler 5* G with moderate experience and probably two new tackles who are possibly 5* Broderick Jones and 3* RT Justin Shaffer who has decent experience. Our line is perfectly capable of playing. Wr we have Pickens a 5* freak of nature and Dominic Blaylock another great wr. Then we have d-rob who is a former 5* and bringing in 4-4*s in this class. Good at receiver. Lb we have nakobe dean-5* with experience. Monty rice-5* with loads of experience and talent.. Good there. Safety we have Richard Lecounte 5*-loads of experience and talent.. One of the top 4 returning safetys in the country and Lewis cine a 4* who got decent playing time and started the sec Championship and sugar Bowl... So in conclusion no there is NO position that uga would want to trade with tenn. You have good players but they still aren't to uga level right now. And we are deeper at every position other than maybe QB. So sorry for the long post... Just figured I'd share what we still have so yalls fans can stop acting like we've crumbled this off season and actually thinking you will easily beat us.

And I apologize you said cb so there we have Erick Stokes-loads of experience and a top 5 cb in the league, and we have Tyson Chandler the former 5* who is developing into a true lock down corner.. So no we're good there too

I'm All Vol, but these threads are hysterical and so ridiculous. UGA is 36-7 over the last 3 years with wins in the Rose and Sugar Bowls and a National Championship appearance. They have the #2 recruiting class with (5) 5 star signings for 2020. And here we are talking about their demise. We need to win 1st before letting UGA, FLA, Bama have it. IMO.
As you can already see people are butt hurt bc you told facts instead of ray Charles opinionated comments.

Not to belabor the point...but I agree we have plenty of delusional homers who think uga has magically dropped below us in talent level since the bow games. That’s ridiculous. My only point is that we now, thankfully, have several players who are good enough to start for uga. Some might win jobs right now, some would be in the mix/rotation - I’m just glad to see Pruitt consistently adding quality players and seeing them develop once hitting campus. Uga still has more talent at every position, OL is the only one that’s even debatable imo.
