Looking back through my history my family would have come closer to working on a plantation than owning more than one horse or mule . My dad and my aunts / uncles were share croppers/ loggers/ and they cut wood for the stills around the area owned by wealthy white guys . My grandfather went to prison ( Parchman ) Mississippi’s state prison farm , because he was cutting wood for a mans still and he wouldn’t tell them who owned it so they said it was his .

doesn't seem credible but maybe it's for all the turmoil and realization some on City Council are wanting to dismantle (err, I mean "reform") the MPD.

There were rumors of protests in an affluent suburb of Birmingham and miraculously most of the shops in the downtown area put up BLM signs; even on their back doors that went to the alley. Hmmm, kinda like putting an FOP sticker on your bumper.

I'd say it's very feasible he was overcome with emotion. I'd say it's unlikely that it was 100% because of Floyd. Hell, I'd probably do the same if I were in his position.

You nuance the characterization by moving the boundary to "in this country". I will gladly acknowledge there are truths we live that other countries do not. But is it always true, here?.
Here's what we need to reconcile for your position to hold truth; if a black citizen hung a black politician in effigy is it 100% a racist message. Are black citizens incapable of making a political message with it?

Yes. Going to a funeral of someone you've never met and kneeling in front of their casket to cry about your own problems is a totally normal thing to do.
