George Floyd Protest/Riots

you don’t know they didn’t announce themselves
It was a no knock warrant. They busted in without knocking. Even if they "announced", which is unlikely, it most likely wasn't heard due to fear induced panic. When someone abruptly bursts down your door, your first though isn't "oh wait, I should see who this is", it's "oh ****, what the hell is happening, I better defend myself".

Carjacking someone isn’t “death or serious injury” from the case you keep citing, and there were two cops there but try again

So just let worthless criminals run rampant and hope you can sneak up on them later? And for the millionth time, your assault on me doesn’t have to be met with equal resistance.

“Significant threat”, not any threat that he MIGHT run up on a car AND steal it with a taser AND kill someone else with it
A fleeing violent felon who already assaulted two officers physically and was currently using a weapon taken from officer against an officer is considered a threat. You can try to your mental gymnastics to justify And excuse this criminal’s behavior but I am 100% confident at which way this court case goes

It does, though. Cops can’t shoot someone for spitting in their face

Lesbian democrat police chief of Atlanta resigned. Another left wing affirmative action diversity hire in a leadership position who failed its people.

Just like Seattle. They let a mob of soy boys take over part of the city and can’t do a thing.

Yep..... they need to ban all no knock warrants

Trying to justify the actions of the atl guy is not a good look. That was justified shooting. Sucks for his family but he chose to
1. Drive drunk
2. resist a fair arrest
3. grab a police weapon
4. fire the weapon

All before he was shot. He proved himself a danger to the public then to the officers directly. He proved he was capable of making unjustifiable threatening decisions.

Was he wanted for a violent felony, or did you just turn “drunk guy takes a taser and runs away” to “VIOLENT FELON USING WEAPON TO KILL CIVILIANS” and then accuse ME of gymnastics lol

They can arrest them and if that person resists they can be forcefully restrained. If that person has a weapon, takes the officers weapon, or starts assaulting the officer they will hopefully take them out.

Hey genius, when you assault two officers during an arrest and steal their weapon you automatically become a violent felon. I know you aren’t exactly a in-depth guy well-versed on law and legal understanding but at least try to keep up

Believe me. My response was sarcasm. Similar idiocy in your response

I live by a very simple set of rules . They have served me well over my lifetime , I don’t see a reason to change something that works . I’ve also taught my kids these rules , I expect them to also live by them . Be nice to others , until it’s time to not be nice , don’t cheat , don’t lie , don’t take what’s not yours , don’t put your hands on other people , respect your elders and help them when you can , take responsibility for yourself and your actions and learn from your mistakes . Very simple , very straight forward .

He could’ve used the weapon to carjack someone, hold them hostage and he could’ve incapacitated the officer and stole his firearm. It’s pretty clear you don’t understand of what you speak of from a legal standpoint
There were two officers on scene, right? If he had used the taser on the one and went for his gun, then the other cop would have been justified in shooting him. The whole carjacking thing is a hypothetical meant to deflect. They could have pursued without shooting. They could have even fired a warning shot into the ground. But they did neither of those things. A choice was made, and now the law will decide whether or not it was justified. My personal opinion is there were other, better options, and that lethal force was not needed. We'll see what the courts decide.

Keeping up fine, you’re dressing up your point in the most alarmist way possible but that doesn’t make it a good legal argument

You are never taught to discharge your weapon at anything other than a potential threat. You are responsible for every round fired. Firing into the ground is not a good idea for a number of reasons.

All this BS has done is embolden blacks, so we can expect to see even more instances.
