My dad lives in Blue Ridge, GA and he drives over an hour and a half to get to work because he loves his cabin so much. He is also a long-haul driver so he only has to do this when he goes up on the weekends.
Walks here are nice. Bike rides, too. Never lived in a state with so much outdoor activity and large number of people taking advantage of it.
I can see that. Most people around me go to Kennesaw Mountain or Stone Mountain for the outdoors. Also Piedmont Park and a lot of other parks are popular. Like I said, it's not real hiking until you get to Appalachian Trail territory.
