I mean I think it's that simple. We're just not very good. Certainly can't sustain good play for more than a half Against anyone with a pulse. Our coaching is also sub par.
Should be better, could be better, looked better on paper, media and coaches predicted we'd be better. But we're just not.
Wish I could have eaten crow on thisChatGPT: That one wasn’t even close — Purplehaze26 basically nailed it.

The tanking started when we were up in the first half and had scored 24 points. LSU went right by us like we had no offense. To her credit CKC called a time out before they went up by ten, but it didn't matter, the tanking and clanking on the rim and had already started. The thing I find so amazing is the consistency in which they tank the third quarter in every. Single. Game.
It looks like you will defend the system to the bitter end! I respect the determination. But in this system CKC really can’t bench players because she needs the fresh cannon fodder. The system also works against conventional reward and punishment pattern. Okay, zi am not starting today because of X,Y and Z (but you will be in the game 90 seconds after tip off). And I still think Andraya's response was glib, superficial, and nonsensical. What does it mean when she says that Kim should find a system that the players will play? We have seen the system work, this year, when players execute. And we have seen the players not implement it, or at least, not all of them, and have it fail miserably. So, basically, what Andraya is saying is that it is up to the coach to recognize that the players have quit and to acquiesce to that behavior and provide for them something that is more to their liking. That's weird. That's not how it works, not in sports, not in business, and not anywhere else.
I think the biggest mistake Kim has made has been in trying to let players learn from their mistakes on the floor when those mistakes were actually a lack of commitment and effort She has been far too lenient with lack of effort. I believe this comes from a teaching approach and believeling that players would learn from the consequences of their actions and come around, That didn't happen. I suspect that she will rethink this pretty drastically after this year.
Personally, I think she would have done well to put some players butts on the bench early in the preseason when they weren't executing what they showed they could do in practice and said, "Look, if you won't do it, I'll play those who will, and if that means we run out of juice and can't finish because you're not willing to go out there and execute, then that's on you." I suspect there would have been some upper class players who would have gotten with the program.
I’m less than encouraged, leave it at that.Well, the team looked pretty decent for a half. But as a fan base we seem to have gone from “we don’t accept moral victories!” To “hey, we almost got a moral victory!” I am not sure if we are watching a downward spiral or a ship taking on water and slowly and steadily sinking.
Kim handled the question about her thoughts on Andraya Carter’s recent commentary on the program absolutely perfectly. I am extremely proud of Kim for acknowledging not only Carter, but former players in general, for having every right to express their thoughts as the women who helped build the program.
