I know you are positive about everything even when there is a lot of unknown. We just came off the worst season in Tennessee basketball history and our roster is presently at six and were not sure it will stay at six. So when a guy leaves that it is rumored was who the players loved the most have to see if the rest stay and how it all turns out.

I wonder if he was the “Panera” bread assistant. Because I wouldn’t be pleased with an assistant sharing behind the scenes info…if it’s true that they did. We are talking about a claim from an obviously unstable person. I just rechecked my door lock. Lmao

The guy was associate head coach at Florida St. Is he coming here to just be an Assistant because Glenville group are the main Assistants last I knew. Tennessee must have loaded his pockets to get him here.

How involved was this Florida St coach in recruiting? Based on their results this year, they’ve had some very down recruiting until this year.

If this guy was very involved with the good incoming class, maybe he can bring some with.

I wonder if Gabe possibly sided with them regarding their hatred of the system. Not that he would actively participated in any kind of rebellion against him, but just agreed that the system was never going to work. Decisions made now are probably geared toward reinforcing the system for next year.

But why recruiting, the one damn thing going well, would take a backseat to all that I can’t understand.

Yeah, it just doesn’t appear very smart to do. You scapegoat your best recruiter right before the portal opens and possibly risk losing your best recruit. Like you said, Kim has no connections and her name probably isn’t positive in the portal, so let’s get rid of someone who was still somehow convincing players to come here.

That is a good group this year. We find out if he can recruit right away we need six or seven portal players maybe more as each day passes. He is on the clock so we will get the answer.

Doubt it was boom boom at all. Probably been in the work since the end of the season.Looking back, I don’t think Gabe has been on board for a while. I think he and Kim have the dreaded philosophical differences. I just don’t believe he believes in this whacked out system.

Not likely, but if that really did happen, can you just imagine how estatic jumper is to have finally had an effect on the program, even if it means getting an actual legit coach fired.

If you think Tennessee won’t keep recruiting at a high level by bringing in a known coach from Florida State then you are looney tune in the head.
Man not one of you all before Lazo came to Tennessee would’ve ever even mentioned this guy name as a coach.
This obsession with drama is sickening at this point.
No recruit is about to decommit or at this point asked to be released due to a recruiting coordinator being replaced.

We don't know I'll let it play out in the next three weeks get back with you April 21st and we can see where we are.

Odd, though that she had Gabe do a majority of the 'Coach Talks' in the Courtside Club - Ray Mears Room before games this season. Seemed to always be trying to put a positive spin on things.
