I’m not a film guy but I don’t see Fant’s level of athleticism. But this dude is also 6’7 compared to Fant’s 6’2 so that could have something to do with it
Fant was never a true TE. Heupel identified his gifts and utilized them in this offense, but Morlock is a more skilled Warren and we’ve needed that.

Good points.
Also, Heupel realizes now, how helpful that skill set is/was from Fant. Would love to see Whitehead move into a similar role. Maybe not the lining up out wide like Fant does sometimes, but more of the HB/FB roles of lining up off the tackles butt, or pulling and trap blocking/ run into the flat. Pistol hand off on short yardage.

And then this kid Morlock can do the more recieving and edge blocking roles.

Definitely feels like we’re going all in on this young man. Obvious concerns with him just being a D2 player but the staff must love what they see.
