I like it...UT vs UT, locked in a Highlander-esque battle of storied programs, with the tag line "There can only be one". There sure would be a lot of orange in the stands.
Location possibilities:
- Home & home
- Little Rock, AR (nearly equidistant between the two campuses)
- New Orleans, LA (fun town, higher profile stadium)
The below article has some interesting matchups. It also shows with Okla and Oregan coupled with Va Tech last year and Ga Tech this year that Tennessee doesn't fully load up with cup cakes.

Personally, I would swap Penn St with Oklahoma. I wanted to say Ohio St or Syracuse but we have played them in the past couple of decades.
Next I would trade NC for USC. The exposure of the West Coast would be good. That's in addition to playing a traditionally top tier program.
I would like to add, Fla St and Miami would be good teams to schedule. However, as with the above mentioned teams, we've played them kinda recently.
What say ya'll VN'ers? Who would you all swap, change, or would you keep the list as is?
I've always thought we could do a home and away of schools by the river. Washington and Tennessee both only stadiums on river. Id like a game against Arizona St or Arizona in the major heat and the next year let the teams compare a 110 degree desert of dry heat compares to 93 degree day with high humidity. I believe our conditioning would prepare us for both. I'm not a big fan of 2 major programs as one has a long road to to get back in playoffs picture. A game of teams I mentioned I like our chances and get just enough interest from voters of polls for the challenge.
Oklahoma State, USF or UCF (gotta give our boy a warm weather game), I like the BYU idea as well, Stanford, USC or UCLA.
And an epic beatdown to either FAU or FIU.
