Fulmer writes response to Adams Article

Yeah, it couldn't have held til Monday. No, that would have shown that he doesn't think the UT athletic department revolves around his rotund carcass.

So if he held it to Monday, and we beat Memphis Saturday, then you wouldn't have said he was trying to steal Bruce's thunder coming off a big win?

Come on Hat, like I've said, I respect you a ton, but by your logic on this, there wouldn't be a good time til basketball season was over.

If it were you, would you not respond on your time frame if you felt the need? I know I would.

Your anger is misguided. Adams took attention away from the great thing we got going in BB by this hit piece at a very inappropriate time. Your anger should be at the trusty scribe not the portly coach.

My thoughts exactly. If anyone had inappropriate timing, it was Adams. His article could have just as easily wasted space in the paper next week.

I think both Adams and Fulmer have points. Regardless, in response to Fulmer responding or not, he would be "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't" type thing.
The response could have waited till Monday however.

I don't know. This is a message board and I can't hear you.

It's an epic stretch to believe that CPF put out this letter to somehow steal spotlight.
Yeah, like it's an epic stretch to think he and the former athletic director would cut a deal with the SEC that essentially traded the eligibility of a meaningless third team JUCO transfer for Isiah Victor's initial eligibilty. Oh, I forgot. That happened.

That is spot on.

However, had he waited until Monday (or just not responded) he could not have looked like an attention whore.

I don't think CPF did it to say as to say the world revolves around him or be an attention whore however.

Because that has so much to do with the timing of Fulmer's response.

There, now it's closer to the truth.
Have another drink fool. Every time I start to gain respect for you (Not that you give a rat's behind what I think) you go off your meds. Now you're resorting to fat jokes. Very intelligent.

Good to see Fulmer has Doug Dickey Syndrome and just can't live with being less popular than the basketball coach. Great timing, lardo. Way to interject yourself into someone else's moment. He can't be fired soon enough for my taste now.

You think Pat is really more popular?

Off topic counselor.

I commend you for passing on the fat jokes in favor of the red herring.

You just called our coach "lardo" for absolutely 0 reason. The man has accomplished more in his past 15 years than you will. Ever.
I've probably accomplished more in the last 15 minutes than you're capable of imagining for your dismal life. Where does that leave us? Oh, don't bother answering. You can join blaker and the rest of your intellectual ilk in ignoreland.

Winning football games aren't THAT big of a deal in the grand scheme.

Kiss the ring. I'm not a huge Fulmer fan, but the man has won. The man loves this school, and this state. He has done more with his life than anyone on this board. He's coached a team to 2 SEC championships, a National Championship, gives a ridiculous amount of money to charities and treats this school with all the respect it deserves.

Edit: Should read "more than most" not more than "anyone." Thanks all you doctors, nurses, soldiers, etc. You're the best!

Good riddance.

hate, are you doing an "Adams" yourself to get a rise out of the natives? That is my guess. You have been sick and need a little laugh. Good show...

There is no reason for National Championships to be plural in your sentence. :)

Um, I don't consider winning a football championship "more" than saving numerous lives.

The doctors, elementary school teachers, and veterans on this board contibute more to society in a day than TCHFCATUTK will in his life. Good to see the value of a UT education is now worthless if you're the type of student we're producing. I guess perspective isn't something one picks up easily.

I could have sworn you hit that ignore button already.

like I said.

Good riddance.

I don't need someone with an ego like yours telling me who does what in society.
