Fulmer writes response to Adams Article

Phil is a stand up, high moral, christian guy. not an A-Hole like Sabin, Spurrier, and meyers. The state of TN has the two best coaches from a character standpoint in the SEC with Phil and Bobby Johnson at VU.

Dude, you obviously dont know what you are talking about when it comes to Spurrier. Just because you dont like him because he coached for FL and now coaches for USC, doesnt mean he is an A-Hole.
Spurrier is one of the most stand-up, and nicest coaches I have ever met and a STRONG Christian guy.

Here's a fact before I'm done: hack is short for hackney. Look that one up.

hack·ney (hāk'nē) Pronunciation Key
n. pl. hack·neys

1. often Hackney A horse of a breed developed in England, having a gait characterized by pronounced flexion of the knee.
2. A trotting horse suited for routine riding or driving; a hack.
3. A coach or carriage for hire.

1. To cause to become banal and trite through overuse.

Again... sounds like Adams.

Personally, I think Adams is wayyyyyy too good for this beat. I bet he could really put a fresh spin on the whole Brittney saga.

Good to see Fulmer has Doug Dickey Syndrome and just can't live with being less popular than the basketball coach. Great timing, lardo. Way to interject yourself into someone else's moment. He can't be fired soon enough for my taste now.

Yeah, responding to someone tearing down your character sure is terrible.

You should stick to basketball. Your opinions on Philip Fulmer and his 'syndromes' are worthless.

Nice on the 'lardo' comment. Real classy.

Seriously, you know I respect you, but how on Earth can you derive him directly answering Adams as somehow being related to him not being the most popular coach in town?

That's a bit of a stretch.

Now that I've had time to think about it: i don't like that he responded. I think what he said IN the response is right on, and we forget a coach's other duties.

However, responding, IMO, was a small sign of weakness. He shouldn't care what Adams thinks of him.

He was right about Colquitt. We all know Colquitt should be gone right now... but

Adams was immature and incredibly stupid to bring up NFL players off the field incidents.

He's a d-bag.

Bringing up the NFL players was not necessary, but the general thrust of his argument was that the program is not going in the right direction and we need a change.

Yeah, it couldn't have held til Monday. No, that would have shown that he doesn't think the UT athletic department revolves around his rotund carcass.

Does it sound like I'm getting a case of the giggles?

I don't know. This is a message board and I can't hear you.

It's an epic stretch to believe that CPF put out this letter to somehow steal spotlight.

Your anger is misguided. Adams took attention away from the great thing we got going in BB by this hit piece at a very inappropriate time. Your anger should be at the trusty scribe not the portly coach.

I've met Coach a few times, and I really don't believe in my gut that he's one to steal spotlight from another UT coach.

I know, hat, you've met him too.
