Super agent jimmy sexton cue superhero music
And I can’t imagine Little Nick being very friendly toward Hugh. Hugh put the hurt on him.
Tennessee can absolutely afford to. History says that we choose not to.Tennessee's program makes a lot more money that FSUs. Their last OC made $700K a year. Tennessee can clearly pay a lot more than most schools. If he takes the job, it's because he has been assured he will be taking over when Willie gets the ax.
If all these schools have interest in hiring him. It may not be Tennessee's fault. He by being patient can drive up the asking price beyond his true worth.
Good point 73. I want Freeze but he’s not the only fish in the sea. I’m willing to give whoever it is a fair chance. How he recruits is the most important thing right now. ( IMO). I just pray it isn’t Friend.Yep the history of hires has been bad ...but this is CJP first major replacement hire. Freeze holds all the cards , he may not be available to us . He may not be up for a rebuild . There are a lot of maybe's there. The good news is he is not the only guy that can coach . It seems like there are a lot of lines drawn in the sand ...its Freeze or they suck . It may not be Freeze and it may not be a bad hire
Update from Warchant says FSU is moving quickly and interviewed Freeze this morning, Said that info came from a TN publisher and that Pruitt was in no hurry to fill the OC void, whereas FSU is. Saw the screenshot and didn’t know the rules if I can paste a screenshot from a pay Site??? I didn’t think so. There IS a thread of the screenshot on GoVols247So how long has fsu been looking for an OC?
Jimmy is a UT grad who was a student equipment manager for the football team (and a roomie of Reggie White's). Seems like he could cut UT some slack and get Freeze there.
I know, I know: he has a fiduciary responsibility to get the best deal for his client that he can. Still.....
Assuming there was legitimate interest, we had a chance to break the chain with Leach who doesn't use an agent. Also needs to manage his reputation a little.. I’d bet most young coaches don’t enjoy coming to any program and failing miserably bc they were not ready. Coaches don’t like losing no matter how much money. All the while Jimmy bends the AD over a barrel for another over priced loser. Ask Dooley and Lyle about their career prospects these days after Jimmy sold them to Tn as “up and comers.” How many young coaches get another shot after a disastrous season or 3? Fiduciary duty goes much further than $ for an agent. Demand makes the market but how many successful coaches does Sexton have in his client list?
