Freak just put up

My hope is that JG with consecutive seasons of the same OC will help him in the decision making/seeing the field capacity. There is no way it can hurt and hopefully we will see a more polished Senior QB that can be more effective in critical situations.
NO, NO,NO
With that said; i dont know how he becomes more accurate downfield..At this point and at this level it seems to me that would be almost a natural talent than a learned skill.

Maybe Chaney can work some magic.

JG is an idiot but he’s an experienced idiot. 😂

I still think Pruitt thought JG was the safest option to win us the game. I’d say he was right.
They'd better come up with something. If they go with the safe bet, they're likely to lose 1 or more of the last 3 games. Shrout looks to have a way higher ceiling then JG, the excuse of not being able to get 3 QB's enough reps is lame. I recall a year 1 press conference when he said that all players get equal reps. That's how you develop players. Pruitt deserves credit for getting this team where they are at this point. His handling of offensive personnel is beyond bizarre.

Can anyone fault him for being careful with Maurer at this point?

Shrout vs JG, I mean I’m just not seeing a major difference between the two. Hell if you want to get real technical Maurer has had some idiotic decisions as well. He’s far and away the most talented but I don’t think there’s this obvious answer at QB like some suggest.

The defense gave us the ball multiple times in the first half and we easily could of and should of had 2 more TD's than field goals. We should of been up 31-0 at half and won 45-7. That's on the QB. I just watched the first half again and those scoring drives had very little passes completed. It was mostly runs and short passes. I can remember one nice pass to MC, but a lot more poor passes. The one to JJ on he wheel route was a terrible throw. He got bailed out with a couple of PI's in those drives too. I just don't get why you don't give JT or BM some snaps in a game like yesterday. They need the playing time.

Also I expect JG to get the start this week because it will be on the road and not enough fans to hear the boos.

When will we figure out that some will "armchair quarterback" no matter what decisions are made. If CJP had left JT in we would have a thread on playing a freshman with all of JG's experience on the bench. If Maurer had played it would be CJP playing loose with his health and sacrificing the rest of the season. Some people will complain no matter what!!!

What I saw is constant pressure from their defensive ends and I don’t think Pruitt wanted JT to take those shots when our defense was dominant!

First, I wasn’t responding to a post you made.
Second, my post was not really about the subject of concussion, it was about assumptions based on rumor.
Hahahahah

Just reread my post

Concessions....i seriously need to proof read...lol

I agree with you on your second point..

Just wish my auto correct would do better..😁😁

You would prefer a less polished senior QB or prefer the unknown of a true freshman or prefer the wildly inaccurate but very poplar true sophomore or the also unproven 3rd string RS sophomore?

Why do so many people give a flying ..... which player is out there? If JG can get better ( and with the same OC in consecutive years since he got here he will) and help improve this team why would you be opposed to that? Do you have a personal vendetta against him or is just that important for you to be right?

I currently am using an I5 POS and I literally have to check everything thing I type. TURBLE auto correct.

As it has quoted on here Pruitt is two faced when it comes to the QB position. He states we need to play the young guys at every other position but when it comes to the QB he will not allow growth by giving the freshman QBs enough playing time to grow. The O-line started the year playing several freshman and they struggled early but now nobody is not going to say we are not better on the O-line then they were last year. Why because freshman were allowed to grow. Quote JG's QBR ratings all you want but he is the stumbling block on the offense. You can see it every game. Nobody can say the receivers on this team cannot make a tough catches because that is all they get because of JG's inaccurate throws.

Am I the only one who sees "Freak just shut up" when the thread title scrolls by?

It's hilarious to me that some of you all know everything about coaching. Just because Maurer has flashed talent in the very LITTLE time we've seen him, doesn't mean our 3rd string quarterback is the answer to all of our problems. Fact is that you guys have no clue on what's going on a practice/in-the-huddle besides limited snippets from the media.

I don’t think he can get much better, not enough to matter.
He is pretty much the same as last year.
Average mostly, sometimes a little below, sometimes a little above, good every once in a while,
Flat out terrible a couple games a year, and that’s why I don’t want him back , because he will cost the team them couple of games.

The amount of "armchair quarterback" knowledge is astounding. Move over Gen. Neyland, we got the best coaches tight here on the interwebs.

I understand that this is a forum and place to share opinions. I just overestimate the amount of crazy opinions. The saying goes opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they all stink.

Next time I talk to Coach Pruitt then I will let him know y'alls concerns.

That's what gets me. Tonight to me he tried to make JG the hero. I saw Pruitt on the sideline and if I read his lips properly he said "take him out" on that second series.
He can barely said anything good at all about JT or Maurer. I can hardly see any encouragement from Pruitt about JT or Maurer at all. Pruitt needs to come out of the darkness and into the light.
If he keeps treating his coaches on the sidelines and players when they come off the field as badly as he does sometimes it will grow old pretty soon. We'll know more when the season ends. Pruitt actions looks like he would be a hard man to work for. Season end will be telling.

Did you ever see Pat Summitt coach...……… big boy football..... own your mistakes..... that's what's wrong today with young people.........

JG was at no greater risk for injury than any other player on the field.

Yeah. Nobody else was wearing a pad to protect a surgically repaired hand. Go to the meat packing plant, you would make a great Christmas turkey.

I actually work in healthcare..... do you? The pad is to protect other players that was hitting him..... his wrist was protected with a solid cast..... football players play in a cast all the time.... defensive players and lineman especially do it all the time. Heck, I know it’s not football but my daughter has played middle school and high school soccer in a wrist/hand cast.

You havent figure out that Pruitt planned to play JG the entire time again but didn't want boos when we found out who was starting?

So people only boo when at a QB for the very first snap of the game? The boos stop for the 2nd series? Not sure if I buy this ‘no booing theory’.
