Freak just put up

At this point, I'd say flip a coin to see who plays. Both JG and Shrout are equally inconsistent. I honestly look for JJ to start throwing some out of the wildcat formation. Quick toss to the TE, something like that.
Interesting.. the commentators during UAB said "There is 100% chance of JJ running the ball in the wildcat". He could really set up Kentucky or someone down the road with a pass to a tight end slipping past the line. I'd love to see that.

So you discount a QB having a different offensive coordinator every single year he is at a school as having zero impact on his perfermance? Especially in regard to how fast he sees the field and reacts to what he sees?
Do you also discount that Jim Chaney has the abiltiy to positively impact a QB with two years of a working relationship?

IMO too many in volnation are terrified he will turn in a good season making them and all the others in the JG haterclub look silly.

Do i think JG is great? Nope. Not even close. However one thing i KNOW is that learning new offensive systems and philosophies every year hurts team perfromance and especially the QBs.

So i hope to see him back because having a senior QB who knows the system inside out is almost always better than the alternative.

Plus, as much as ive seen this team struggle with JG at QB i do think the coaches know who gives us the best chance to win. This coming from a guy who is about as far from a Pruitt apologist as one can be.
Another thing I might add,
I hope Pruitt/Chaney dont pull a Kirby/Chaney
And let a special talent get away because they
Are more comfortable with the more experienced guy.
Learning a new system hasn’t seemed to hurt Fields too much , as he is a top 5 hiesman candidate as of now.
I think the key sentence in your post is “almost always better”.
When is it not? Probably when the senior has had multiple seasons to prove he has what it takes but hasn’t.

I dont lnow when that scenario is. Im sure its happened but when your multi million dollar gig depends on getting it right, making the logical data driven choice is always the wise one.

I have seen a new OC/QB light it up in year 1, in college and NFL. More than once.
I have seen QB’s have a different OC 2-3 years in a row and struggled every year.
It could very well effect the performance.
It might also be the common denominator is the reason for continued struggle, common denominator being an average QB.
So I don’t discount or assume anything.
I think the common denominator here is JG is very average and another year won’t make him much better.
I think we will have a couple of better QB’s with a much higher ceiling and I hope they get the chance to prove it

If theu are better they will get a chance..these coaches dont like to lose....their million dollar gigs.

Your post spoke directly to what the players and coaches should or shouldn't do after a game.

I was just pointing out that Pruitt ironically made a similar comment after Saturday nites game. Which is pretty typical for him if you catch many press conferences or post game interviews.
What a random poster says or thinks is substantially less relevant. Just when I try and give you a little credit.
you must be obsessed with me and my post..thank you

the UAB game and I got to watch the first series that ESPNU did not show.
Pulling JT after that series was ATROCIOUS.
That was so unfair to that kid it speaks volumes.
The kid played well enough last week and deserves way more respect than that imo.
Again this is HOGWASH and his excuse for pulling him was a bunch of HOGWASH

Thanks JTs Dad. Or whatever. Joined October 4 2019. Yeahhhhhh....troll alert. Sounds like an opposing fan trying to stir some **** up, maybe.

Pulling JT after the 1st series is no way to develop talent. Thats comical. Believe whatever you want to believe.
How about this one. We should set Coach Pruitt every time he makes a mistake. Well that is how foolish it sounds to me when he pulls JT after one series. Now here's another one
HEY COACH PRUITT ' YOU HAVE TO LET YOUR QB'S GET INTO A RHYTHM ' so telling the Vols during your press conference you may play all three is really dumb. Just really dumb. But you go right ahead in the Kentucky game and do just that. Talk about a melt down just wait to hear from the press and fans when you try that one.
