Florida = Cupcake Game

This x 1000. This "curse" idiocy is nothing but a coping mechanism, the same as the stupid bereavement thing, for fans who enjoy wallowing in self pity.

Florida never owned us, they simply had superior coaches and/or talent for those two decades. That has changed now, as we'll see on Saturday night.
So having better coaches, better players....for 20 years isn't enough? How about these numbers. Since 2000, UF leads the series 20-6. During that stretch they have winning streaks against us of 11 and 5. Overall they lead the series 32-22.

Not sure what your criteria is, but that's ownership in my book.

For all the angst here about playing in the swamp:

Florida will have no where near the talent on the field that we will have. I'm not sure if Florida has a secondary or a pass rush for Saturday night. Heup and Joey will name their score. We ain't in the Dooley/Butch/Pruitt years anymore friends. We didn't have a 'swamp curse', we had a 'bad coaches curse' that Heup has turned around. No way we come out of Gainesville with less than a 20 point win.
Seems to be D concentrated? How does it compare to last week?

Lagway won't be leaving the game. Unfortunately, we have a tendency of making struggling quarterbacks play like Heisman trophy winners.
I was mostly getting at if Lagway goes out TN former QB Harrison Bailey would come in and have a V for Vendetta moment running up the score 🤣

Better spy him with a LB and force him make tough throws. Read that he struggles against zones. My guess is we play man and rush 3-4.

I’ll give him a pass for 2021. 2023 not as much.
Josh became the coach in Jan. 2021--no time to recruit and 30/
35 players (many of them the best players) were told to hit the road by the administration. The blowed up class of 2021 would only be soph. on the 2023 team that had already been depleted of senior leadership because of the hit the road fall on your sword thing. and dealing with recruiting restrictions--still are. 2022 was a caught lightening in the bottle situation, that really spoiled the fan base and created false expectations. This year to me is his first year with a full team of players that he has recruited. Am I disappointed --yes! I have to remind myself that we are two short missed field goals and a blind ref away from being a 1 loss team ranked in the top 6, To me this week end and the Vandy game is critical to my evaluation of the state of the program. I have been following Tennessee football since 1964 when by brother came to UT to get his Masters Degree. To me Josh is only second to about 10 years of The Fuller years. Sorry IF I came across a little pointed, Being having to take some steroids and probably should stay away from the key board:) Have a great week end.

How many times has Heup won in the swamp? Exactly....

Yeah, but we should’ve won there in 2023 as well. I’m telling you there’s something about it. We will see…

I would also argue that Butch was probably just as good or bad of a coach as Muschamp and McElwain and he only beat Florida once.
Napier always had a good game plan against us. Not sure how exactly he’d play better or basically even against us and then still lose five or six games, but that’s what happened. Hopefully the interim isn’t as dialed in on us.

Fulmer wasn’t as good a coach as Spurrier or Meyer. That’s why he had trouble beating them.

He was a better coach than Ron Zook. That’s why he went 2-1 against him.

It really is a matter of the coach/team being better that determines outcomes, not logos or team names.
Oh no it aint by gawd, not win it comes to florida. Its the mojo majik of the swamp monkey woman and the alligator gar.

Fuller was a better coach when he had more talent than his opponents
