You know, This used to be a big issue with me as well. But the older I've gotten, the less I'm driven by symbolism or sloganeering. And really, those can be the downfall of a civilization if you distract the populace from the real issues and lead 18-21 year old men to go off and die for something that has nothing to do with protecting freedom or whatever institutions that the flag represents.

Flame on...

I've served my country and my country has served me. I've had my ass saved by people fighting under that flag. With that said in regards to flag desecration I always find it in poor taste. However the fact that we can't shoot these people in the head to cleanse the gene pool is one of the good (?) things about America. Freedom.

These people though are just as ignorant as the vitriol anti gay's, vegans, crossfitters, gator/bammers, world peace, environmental alarmists, and general liberals.

this is making the rounds on facebook. Personally, I"m not opposed to flag burning, stomping, etc. especially if the chick doing the stomping has a body like the one in red.

So those that feel at least at little bit like the cartoon drawers brought it on themselves have to agree it would be OK if the flag stompers got shot.

I have no problem with the walking on the flag due to Free Speech...but, they should suffer the same consequences that others have from exercising their right...and that is, they should lose their jobs (if they even have one).


The muhammad drawing is perfectly fine also. The two guys got what they deserved.

And this, unfortunately, goes both ways.

Girl makes radical statement at Subway: gets fired.

Professor makes radical statement at Boston U: keeps job.

It's up to the employer and it's 100% their right. If they want to say "you check your right to freedom of speech at the door" they can. If they want to say "say whatever you want, it's your right" they can.

And I'm glad I live in a country like this.

Yea...I'm just pointing out that some people have been fired for a lot less Free Speech blunders. It would be fitting foe them. Post their pics all over Social Media and the company they work for and give them hell
