October 5th, 2002. Tennessee beat Arkansas 41-38 in 6OT. Was only 12 years old at the time. One of the most exciting games I can remember attending. Been bleeding orange ever since!

1998 - Arkansas game in the pouring rain. Stroerner fumble - saved the National Championship. Would say that was a good one to start with !

Ugh. That’s when we scored in the closing minutes and for some strange reason we kicked a pooch kick that allowed UGA to go down the field and score and win in the final seconds. Why on earth did Fulmer call for a pooch kick? Never made sense to me. That one was on him and third and Chavis for allowing GA to match down the field unstopped. We would have had an undefeated regular season that year were it not for that game. Love Fulmer but the two games we lost in 2001 were the result of poor game day adjustments.
Yeah, CPF was a good coach in his day but was also known for losing to UF and blowing the bigger games. He's better than anyone we've had since, but i still believe it was time for CPF to step down. AD has screwed the football program ever since. I'll always remember TS catching that screen pass and taking it to the house. I've been to a few big games in Neyland, the cal game was jumpin, but that TD from TS was the loudest moment I've ever experienced !

Vanderbilt 2015. Being from Ga it was the first time I had seen that much orange in one place. My wife got great tickets. Also, we hung 50+ on a Vandy defense that had averaged only giving up 18 pts per game. It was a good day.

September 19, 1998. OT win over the gators. Went to every home game that year plus the SEC championship game over Miss St. Last game I was in Neyland for was opening day 2009 against Western KY.

First game I clearly recall was a 45-0 beat down of Vandy in 1991. I asked my dad who we were playing and he responded with "A crappy team from Nashville called Vanderbilt."

1979 vs. Utah
I remember that game as a kid because that was when the old green bleachers in the North End zone were still around. Utah sent some of their players up into the stands during pregame warm ups to catch the field goal attempts.

You guys are such young pups. I cant remember the exact year but it was late 50's. and I was 8 or 9 years old. All I can remember is guys in overcoats and hats standing up so I could not see a thing. Saw all home games from 68-72 and at least I game a year for the next 30 or so years.

1964 in Knoxville. Kentucky defeated Vols 12-7. Doug Dickey arrived the next season to revive Tennessee football.
That was my first game too! I was 8. My dad took all 6 of his kids. Tickets must have been cheap. All I remember was we lost. My next game was the 1968 UGA game when we tied them 18-18 or was it 16-16? I had season tickets then through like 1974 when I stopped going cuz I was a teen with a girlfriend. Went to a few games as an underg

2014 vs Utah St. First SEC game was 2015 vs UGA. I was sitting in the UGA section. First half was unbearable, then the come back began.

My first game in Neyland was with my dad and I cheering on the vols in the 1988 loss to Bama. We waited after the game to get Kieth Delong’s autograph. My older brother and his buddy were with us, both Bammers. Even they got him to autograph their bama hats. Keith laughed and said there’s a first time for everything. Unfortunately this was before everyone had cameras.

Against Alabama, he earned SEC Player of the Week, collecting 19 tackles, four assists, a pass deflection and an interception in what was dubbed the second-best single-game performance in Tennessee history.

I have hated them more than any other team ever since then. That was a long ride home.

9/21/74 vs Kansas. Condredge Holloway, the Artful Dodger led the Vols to victory. Finally, I was enrolled at UT. I attended my first game as a student.

1980 vs THE USC. Vols missed a field goal at the end that would have tied the game. Trojans had Marcus Allen, Jeff Fisher, Bruce Matthews and Ronnie Lott. They were loaded and beat the Vols 20-17.

1965 Tennessee vs. Army. First time ever they ran through the T. I don't remember that, but read it somewhere. Sat in Section K. I was 7 years old.

1989 Ole Miss was mine as well, crazy how many of us had that one. Johnny Majors coaching, Andy Kelly at QB and of course Webb and Harper.

I remember it being close for a while, but the Vols being clearly the better team. Webb was unstoppable.

North End Zone upper level wasn’t enclosed yet and the field was still AstroTurf.

That game is on YouTube for any of the rest of you that had it as a first game. I’ve watched it several times.

IF you still have a ticket stub from the 1968 UGA game, I would LOVE to hear from you. I've been looking for one.

My first game was against TCU in Neyland Stadium. The Vols rolled that day 39-7. Condredge was QB that day. I’ve been blessed to see the Vols play over 300 times since.

September 1972 when UT beat Penn State and (who’s your daddy now) Papa Joe. PSU had John Hufnagel and Cappelletti. Gawd it was great beating those (fill in your own blank here).

The first at Neyland was late 70's against Ole Miss but I had attended games for years in the West Tennessee area when the Vols played. At Jackson Mississippi to see them play Ole Miss a time or two, at Memphis multiple times playing several different teams and at Starkville. BUT none compared to the Neyland experience and even now even though I attend regularly I always get the same thrill when we run through the T.
