The theory is that Lazo did all of it and well were throwing him under the bus. So really don't know if they will have anything better have to hope the new guy knows something really don't think Kim is much at evaluating. How do you know she’ll bring in players who are bought in this year when she didn’t last year?
Kim had final say on who joined her team. She shouldn’t be the head coach if she didn’t.The theory is that Lazo did all of it and well were throwing him under the bus. She hosted the ESPN special "Remembering Pat" with Draya, Candace, Nikki Caldwell, and Dawn Staley on the stage (event held at the Tennessee theater). At first I thought this was a fake account but it’s not. WILD how we are now the laughingstock of women’s basketball
BIngo. You have a system that is presumably almost impossible to learn so you have to write off the first two months of the season as a learning curve (not great for seeding purposes) and then once the players learn it, it takes more time still for them to consistently implement this ephemeral system (which as far as I can tell hinge on the ability to be in two places at once).Let’s not forget it takes half a year for players to learn her system (her words not mine). A team full of mid major players who don’t even know each others name and we’re expecting it to well?![]()
The rumor or line is she left it all up to him. Something no coach should do and I don't know if it happened or not just that evidently we need to throw him under the bus so she can at least have another season here.Kim had final say on who joined her team. Yep, that is the line they are trying to push which makes her look just as incompetent. The rumor or line is she left it all up to him. Well you go this way and you go that away. If you are open shoot the ball. If you see someone on the other team with the ball press them trap them make sure to leave to goal unattended. Let's make it interesting if they can make that pass or not to the open player.BIngo. Now you integrate 11-12 new players with no experience in the system and expect to have success?
Hey I could see it being somewhat true not all of it surely she checked out some of them. She kept saying all the last part of the season how great Robertson was playing everytime she would go out there and shoot 2 for 12 it was a player getting better.Yep, that is the line they are trying to push which makes her look just as incompetent.
lol maybe that is her definition of a great player for her system. You’ve figured it now!Hey I could see it being somewhat true not all of it surely she checked out some of them. Lol no. It's just my nature. I'm not attempting to direct. People can post wherever they want. But, if it's helpful then here's a spot where we can have this conversation - that keeps coming up. I joined to participate, not sit around silently. I wish I had been more athletically inclined and perhaps did end up working for the University though, on the coaching staff in some capacity. Would have been a dream. Not in the genetic cards! You’ve been posting on Volnation less than a week and are now attempting to direct the comments. Do you work for the University of Tennessee, or Volnation? Not asking how long you’ve been a fan.
So, to be clear, you did, or are, working for the University?Lol no. It's just my nature. I'm not attempting to direct. People can post wherever they want. In DII you just had the players that were left over to select from. There is not a high level of difference in ability at that point, so not as much evaluation to be done. The rumor or line is she left it all up to him. Something no coach should do and I don't know if it happened or not just that evidently we need to throw him under the bus so she can at least have another season here.
As I said last week, there are serious concerns about how UTAD has handled the narrative around former coaches and the player exodus.
The more that comes out, the more it raises questions about whether efforts were made to shift blame away from Kim rather than address what actually happened.
I’ve heard from multiple sources that mistakes were made—and that some of this wasn’t handled as carefully as it should have been.
If that’s true, the potential fallout could be significant. Once the full picture comes into focus, fans may see just how far things went behind the scenes to maintain the current direction of the program.
At that point, this situation could end up making the Fulmer exit look minor by comparison.
