The theory is that Lazo did all of it and well were throwing him under the bus. So really don't know if they will have anything better have to hope the new guy knows something really don't think Kim is much at evaluating.

Kim had final say on who joined her team. She shouldn’t be the head coach if she didn’t.

She hosted the ESPN special "Remembering Pat" with Draya, Candace, Nikki Caldwell, and Dawn Staley on the stage (event held at the Tennessee theater).

They showed the Pauldos in the audience.

We are no so far from that era it is really completely unimaginable who weren't around during Pat's best years.

The leadership skills, the sense of deep and authentic connection with the players, the respect she earned from everyone around, and it goes on and on.

BIngo. You have a system that is presumably almost impossible to learn so you have to write off the first two months of the season as a learning curve (not great for seeding purposes) and then once the players learn it, it takes more time still for them to consistently implement this ephemeral system (which as far as I can tell hinge on the ability to be in two places at once).

Now you integrate 11-12 new players with no experience in the system and expect to have success?

The rumor or line is she left it all up to him. Something no coach should do and I don't know if it happened or not just that evidently we need to throw him under the bus so she can at least have another season here.

Yep, that is the line they are trying to push which makes her look just as incompetent.

Well you go this way and you go that away. If you are open shoot the ball. If you see someone on the other team with the ball press them trap them make sure to leave to goal unattended. Let's make it interesting if they can make that pass or not to the open player.

Hey I could see it being somewhat true not all of it surely she checked out some of them. She kept saying all the last part of the season how great Robertson was playing everytime she would go out there and shoot 2 for 12 it was a player getting better.

Lol no. It's just my nature. I'm not attempting to direct. People can post wherever they want. But, if it's helpful then here's a spot where we can have this conversation - that keeps coming up. I joined to participate, not sit around silently. I wish I had been more athletically inclined and perhaps did end up working for the University though, on the coaching staff in some capacity. Would have been a dream. Not in the genetic cards!

I think in any program, business, or organization...there comes a time, regardless of fault, when change at the top is the only solution. It's not always "fair" but it's the only way through large storms. It's the only way to reset. At this point, the only person in the United States who would still have their job under such horrible conditions is the President. So, she has to be replaced.

In DII you just had the players that were left over to select from. There is not a high level of difference in ability at that point, so not as much evaluation to be done.

She was one year at Marshall - probably had a body of players that was from the last team - same with the first year at Tennessee.

When it was finally pretty much her team, the bottom fell out.

In hindsight - she should have opted to stay at Marshall where she could have built her skills verses coming to Tennessee, where the stakes are so high. Then 3 to 4 years down the road, she may have been prepared for a job in one of the major conferences.
