Finals thread.

Once again I love how the media always backtracks and jumps on the winning team. Instead of them saying OKC was the better team before the series started, now it's the Heat they're back jumping on.

To use a hockey analogy: you cannot knock LeBron off the puck when he's trying to score. You can knock Durant off the puck pretty easily.

Not saying he doesn't get fouled, but saying almost every time he drives. Really?

He does. He gets a ton of calls but then again there are always a few that the whistle gets swallowed because the contact doesn't move him like it does others.

It's physical, Durant is doing just as much to get the ball as the Heat are trying to deny him.

Durant being a wing player and tryingvto get the ball 18 feet from the basket makes it look worse.

James is going through the same thing in the post but again, he is a physical specimen and Durant is a rail.

I see what your saying. It just seemed like Durant needs to check under his shirt for Battier tonight.

Absolutely.

It's making swirls if difference, we are swing Dueant have to struggle just to get the ball, after that it's a struggle just to get the **** off (unless it's a pull up jumper ). On the other hand James is simply backing his man down and either creating a wide open shot or getting a layup.

Prefect example of this is like Dwight Howard. Just because they are stronger and bigger, they get fouled a lot more then what's called because like you said, the contact doesn't move them.

I'ma stay on the other side with this one. I see him complain about getting fouled a lot, but no actual foul

That's how Battier has always defended. It's the finals, that type of play should not only be accepted but encouraged. And that goes for both sides.

Durant was burning Battier. This is the first night he played that close for that long. On his back, pulling his arms, etc.

Bron also played him like that tonight. It was an adjustment, deny Durant the ball. It worked, Westbrook was the only reason we were in it. Good coaching IMO, but from a fans pov, excessive and deserved more whistles

Yeah the game had nothing to do with Harden forgetting there was a ballgame tonight, or Durant shying away from the spotlight tonight

At the end of the game one win they started fronting Durant and it worked.

Stayed with it.

Dude, go a few pages back. I know Harden was horrible. Durant didn't shy away dude, give me a break

I love Durant, but if we are going to be in this age of blaming superstars for everything game to game, then Durant's game was shying away.

9-19 shooting. Only 8 FT attempts. Two rebounds. Three assists. Lazy defense.
