Final 4 Predictions

Really nothing special about that team. They kill you on defense with TO and they shoot high % shots. AND ALL of their players are not afraid or timid to shoot the ball. That's something that the LV has to mentally be prepared to do is be confident in their shooting ability,,,Meme,Dunbar, Middleton.

I think the thing they do better than any other team is they generally don't make careless mistakes. They also move the ball and are in perpetual motion that it's hard to guard them the whole shot clock possession after possession. Also, none of this "I'm a Defensive Specialist, Coach!" crap and getting a pat on the head for admitting that you suck as a basketball player.

They are a well oiled machine.

Well this Schaefer/William interview has me in tears.

First time I've seen emotion from Morgan...

It was irritating how unprepared the interviewer was for this. She didn't seem to know that Morgan's dad had passed away and didn't respond very well to Morgan's emotions. Schaefer actually had to start talking to fill the gap.

I hate to think this Uconn team may never lose again as long as Genos the coach. Uconn is just a little above average team as far as talent and they are still beating teams down.

His last loss

I know that the coach for Mississippi State will have them ready for UCONN, but I still think UCONN wins, but you never know.

For anyone that watched the last 5 minutes of the game between Baylor and MS, there was a middle aged, white guy with a notebook on the bench. They showed Kim go over to him and probably in frustration, start poking her fingers at his notebook. I just thought it was odd.

She has to do what she did against Washington's Osahor. Use her wingspan to tip the ball to herself on offensive rebounds and don't let it get low enough for the UConn pogo sticks to snare. She has to own the paint and the glass. Despite Napheesa having arms as long as her legs, McCowan can potentially dominate that matchup.

The question is when UConn starts running... does she have the endurance. UConn can play fast or slow and they can decide to change which speed they want to play at in an instant. That is hard for really tall bigs to deal with. These teams are nothing alike. I hope it's a really good game.

For all those who say they make they game boring for them what do you think the UConn players are thinking? Don't you think they are just waiting... WAITING... for someone to challenge them for 40 minutes. It rarely happens. Everyone is mad at UConn for the opposing team not showing up. The Oregon coach said "UConn holds the rest of the sport accountable." That's a great way to look at it but it's not the truth.

WCBB doesn't want a change. It damn sure doesn't want to be held accountable for nearly full rosters packed with talent & early tournament exits. It doesn't want parity. Partiy means their team losing. "Parity" to each fan just means their team beating UConn or another team beating UConn (which is dumb because they haven't lost back to back games in like 20 years so basically it would be just starting another streak). Baylor never got better at guarding ball screens from the time they played UConn til last night... how is that possible? It's possible because when you have a lot of talent you can be really bad at something and still win... until you don't.

There is more than enough talented players in the sport, what it needs is more coaches who either need to give a crap or find another profession.

Collier and William's speed is their big equalizer. If Napheesa can consistently create her own shot, more power to her. What I'm hoping is that Richardson keeps in front of Gabby so that Teaira doesn't have to provide help defense.

I'm not one who complains about UConns's dominance, but I'm rooting against them because, well, it's UConn and I'm a Tennessee fan. But I know that if they get beaten, it's because another team rose to the challenge, and the sport needs it.

I know we are raised to hate UConn and Geno but to call them a little above average seems like a stretch. I think we can safely call them really good after 111 wins. What the Vols need to strive for is being "a little above average" at this point.

What I meant about above average is the fact they don't have the most talented group on the floor but all play to their potential and play at 100%.

They have great shooters, ball handlers, passers, and above average athleticism across the board. And they're mentally tough. We were all snickering at their dwarf post game at the start of the season, and they both ended up AP All Americans.

They may not have had the incoming HS creds as some other players, but they are among the best in the country.

spoiler alert - uconn wins another championship. geno and espn celebrate.

at this point I think geno could split his team in half and play each other and somehow both would win.

What I'm trying to say is they were Developed. Look at how well Chong has matured as an example. Dangerfield will be there soon. Will our players develop into great players? We shall see.

That I 100% agree with. The improvement from.freshman to sophomore for the two stars was unreal.

Kaela Davis putting on the kind of performance I thought Diamond would during the tournament 😟

I agree about Davis and Diamond. I thought that SC would play better without Coates in the lineup clogging up the middle.
In this game, they're also playing better without Wilson in the lineup!!

The offense is flowing better, but their rebounding has suffered terribly without the bigs. Cliney is a surprisingly good rebounder and defender. Very underrated player.

Five point SC lead under 4 min to go. They were up by 17 in the 3rd quarter. Wilson with 4 fouls. Romero heating up big time. SC getting killed on the boards.

I wish we could play UConn so Geno could beat us by 40 and maybe that would be the end of the Warlick debacle.
