Fifa 12

Wow, talk about a kick in the nuts I got from this game tonight. After playing through almost four entire seasons and building my team, somehow the save file is now corrupted and it can't load my career mode save or any of the 3 previous auto saves. Every time I try it just completely locks up my Xbox. This sucks, so now I have to start my manager mode back over from square one.

Game is $50 at Best Buy. I really want to get it. Does anyone know anywhere else I can get it at a cheaper price new?

I didn't know that there were this many people who play FIFA in the states put together... Shocked.

How many of you play it because you enjoy soccer as a sport?

Right here. Not my favorite sport, but I enjoy watching the Premier League when it is on in the states. Also, the world cup and sometimes the MLS. They just do not have the type of players that make it as interesting as Barclays Premier League.

Interesting that you think the players make the Premier league interesting, it thought it would be the opposite....

This is a great game.

I wish the My Player portion was more realistic as far as career progression. I hate games where you get to select what team you go to at first.

Born and raised in the hills of Tennessee and Fifa 12 is the best sports game I've ever played, by far, and I hated soccer before I got fifa12.

I've always enjoyed the FIFA games. FIFA 95 got me hooked. I think FIFA 10 is the last I played. Considering getting 12 at some point in the near future.

Although I don't watch soccer usually. I'll watch the World Cup. Not even just the US. Just whatever game happens to be on.

Same here, except I think NBA 2k12 is the best I've ever played. FIFA 12 is definitely second on my list. Awesome game.

Also, I enjoy watching the World Cup every 4 years if that counts. I definitely don't "hate" soccer, just not my thing.

Worst thing about Fifa, they make you buy a whole other game for the world cup.. Rip off!!!!

Had this borrowed from my brother, and just started playing it regularly in the last couple weeks. Awesome game.

I go to MLS matches, but I don't know a whole lot about soccer...

Definitely a steep learning curve. I'm only playing on semi-pro and find it sufficiently challenging, and I'm still messing around with which assists I want on and which I don't. Passing assists I generally leave on, shooting assists I generally turn off.

I don't see what the big deal is with headers, I'm about 20 matches deep into my first season playing in the Scottish league, and I've put in 4 headers with my virtual pro (6'0" striker) and got the assist on three more so far with the cross.

Defending is great, ball control is great although I'm still learning how to put special moves together. Definitely one of the best sports games I've ever played.

Also, kind of my main point to bump this thread, the Euro 2012 expansion should be coming out soon and will have all of the UEFA national squads. AWESOME.

Finally got this off gamfly, enjoying it so far, tons of depth. Wouldn't say it's better than the nhl series, but it's a solid competitor

The Euro 2012 expansion pack came out today. Anybody thinking of purchasing this? If so, let me know if it's worth the while.
