Let's face it, this is bad taste to wear it. But still, what can the DOJ do if the local PD tells them to get bent?

The nameplate issue could be an issue. But only if threats have been made to the officer's families (which we've already seen) so covering them up could be interpreted as a safety measure. I mean, when you've got *******s like Spike Lee that have zero hesitation releasing information and basically targeting an individual, I'd be afraid for my family's safety as well.

Conflicting rumors going on right now; one says cop was shot and another says a kid but I find it hard to believe that a cop would really shoot another kid in this city with what's going on.

Captain Ron Johnson, of the Missouri Highway Patrol, told the crowd that he was only going to ask the crowd once to leave and sounded serious. Also saw on Twitter from a guy that was on the ground that he told someone over the phone the threats stop tonight. I'll leave you guys to decide what that means. Also suspect may still be loose, conflicting rumors on that.

Second confirmed officer shooting, this time an off-duty St. Louis Metro cop was shot at and injured, highway shut down.

I'm not sure what part this will play, if any, but the lawyer for Dorian Johnson just had his law license suspended for at least six months by the Missouri Supreme Court.

Grand jury considering the Ferguson shooting is being investigated for misconduct - The Washington Post

The Mike Brown Grand Jury is being investigated for misconduct after a tweet surfaced from a user that says she knows someone on the jury and claimed they don't have enough evidence to arrest Wilson. If true they may have to bring in an entirely new jury and start the process all over again. First how stupid can you be to even talk about if you were on it and two I bet Officer Wilson is pissed right now.

Not surprised. This case was going to be a cluster from the beginning. Par for the course.

True. I don't think they throw out the jury though, I would imagine accusations like this are too hard to prove conclusively one way or the other.

Perhaps the media has falsely jumped the gun; they are looking into the tweet/account, no investigation yet of the jury, appears to be unfounded at this time.
