FBI locks down Pilot HQ?

Yes. They left a huge papertrail right back to the Pilot HQ that we are paying players. The NCAA was so concerned about our dominance over the last 5 years, that they decided to pass off jurisdiction on this one to the FBI and the IRS.

I heard Big Jim keeps detailed records of every cent he's ever paid a player in a notebook labled "Money for UT Football Players" in plain site on top of his desk.

Its right next to his reference book "How To Gouge The Public On Fuel (And Not Get Caught)"

The Haslams should have stuck with their day jobs. They stink at managing a football program.

If you're dumb enough to think these people have some kind of paper trail rolling back into UT of violations or if you think because this investigation is happening huge, unfathomable amounts of money will suddenly fall away from Tennessee's AD nobody can help you.

Did I say it had to do with them doing anything pertaining to the program? I said it dealt with two people very active in the program. If you are too dumb to comprehend what you read, maybe you should stfu.

These people do a lot for the University-both financially and otherwise. Anything that might hamper them from doing that in the future will impact the program. Meanwhile, a thread discussing Sabin speaking at a freaking Chamber event is in the football forum, and is now 4 pages long. Makes sense.

If there is a photo of the Gov handing Bray any amount of cash over $10, he can kiss his presidential hopes goodbye. That would show a terrible lack of judgment.

Did you not read the entire second half of my post? Good lord.

Yes, I read it. Again, nobody said huge sums of money are going to fall away from the University. I miss the days when you stuck to posting insufferable ramblings about statistics instead of being snarky to other posters.

LOL at people suggesting PILOT is paying for players to come to UT.

Which player in the last 10 years have we got that was worth paying for? Eric Berry the legacy player? CP the 4* juco wideout? Please.

None of the players we have had here are worth Cam Newton money. If UT was paying players, it'd be in hundred dollar bills and judging by our roster, it would take many. And I doubt there would be a check cleared from Pilot to some bag man to help us land some 3* DB getting offers from mid level ACC schools.

I would hope we would recruit better if we were paying. I'd also hope we'd pay for some stud defensive tackles for Pete's sake.

Someone mentioned to me earlier thats close to a UT recruit that there is some dirty business going on maybe referring to money laundering he didnt have any details about the raid just Said that he has heard bad things about this whole situation. I know nothing, just curious if this could turn really bad and trickle down to UT athletics? What r ya'll hearing?

Yeah I dont think UT will, just a huge investigation for just a small amount of rebates imo, I wouldnt rule out that Someone will be in serious trouble both FBI and IRS dont raid a HQ that brings in 30 billion a Yr. Idk I May be wrong though.

I got a rebate...Kroger gave me $2 off a gallon of gas for having enough kroger points...
No, you got a point of sale discount

If you had received a rebate, you would have paid full price and received a check for the difference later

I hope this rebate investiagtion doesn't spread into other industries..
Rebates are used extensively in my industry
