Faizon Brandon QB1

"Tennessee will surprise some people"

Tennessee never fails to surprise me, but it's almost always BAD surprises.

Tennessee isn't winning anything important with a freshman QB. Y'all can just forget that notion right now.

we win 8 games at best in 2026. I will reserve optimism for future years once I see 2026 play out.

If GMac and Faizon are tied, then you play the guy with the upside. Either guy could hit the portal, can't worry about that but if the team has a good year under Faizon and he looks good. I don't think he'd leave, the goal for a QB is get to the NFL and top 10 draft which is going to be more than NIL packages, sticking with a team you've had success with helps those chances
If G-Mac has been jumped by Faizon, he'll never start at UT and should leave. That makes sense unless he's comfortable sitting until Faizon hits the draft and that's unlikely.

If G-Mac is going to be jumped by Faizon in 2027 after starting in 2026, he should leave. If he's not, Faizon most likely will leave.

If they're tied and both good, we have a QB and we lose a QB.

I think both will play extensively in a 9 game SEC schedule, possibly all 3. That being said how many points can we expect this group to put up, saying our Oline, running game and receivers are good? 24, 27?? Missing out on an experienced QB was a huge error and I don't know if a better defense is enough to cover it.

It's extremely unlikely that Heupel will change into a "platoon QB" guy. He's notoriously known for using his QB1 almost exclusively except in complete blowouts.

Once we start our long SEC schedule portion of the season, it'll be QB1 unless Heupel has completely changed his philosophy.

I did't say he was going to platoon play them.

Heupel has been a "I've got my guy" for QBs. Aside from Milton getting hurt, he's not going to play one, then the other, unless we're truly sucking with his first choice.

So far, he picks his man and rides with him so what do you think? We're going to suck so he'll need to replace his QB1 during the season?

People should just ignore the stuff Trey, AtoZ, and Basil-bruh are slinging against the wall for attention.
I pay very little attention to anything I read on this or any forum. I view it as entertainment. It offers a foray into the demented and tortured minds of Vol fans everywhere. I do have one tidbit to share. Phil Fulmer's pool boy told me Heupel was bringing Phil on board as an analyst to help determine next season's starting quarterback. Insiders insist Phil is trying to find another year of eligibility for Eric Ainge. With Fulmer on board, some say Heupel has started wearing a bullet and knife proof vest on his back.
