Explosion in Boston?

There are plenty of military that ruck the Boston Marathon (they start between 4 and 5am). Possible that these guys rucked it, which would explain the huge rucks and the boots.

perfectly reasonable since I highly doubt Seals would announce their arrival like that. There just seem to be quite a few out there in very similar dress is probably why it raises suspicion

and for the record (LG) I am not saying this is what I believe. I'm just commenting on one theory that is out there and was brought into the thread. Reddit/4chan have a whole lot of pics out there that are interesting

Most likely some type of L.E. probably Federal.

Someone just said on Hannity that his sources at ICE told him the Saudi national is being deported back to Saudi Arabia on national security grounds.

Very odd if he was initially a suspect, cleared, and now being quickly deported.

however it would possibly explain the confusion around the press conf from yesterday. Police have him, meeting with Saudis takes place, feds come in and say we are taking him and now the police have no one in custody and have to cancel.

based on our relationship with SA I don't believe the scenario can be entirely dismissed

I cannot fathom that, if we thought that the Saudi in the hospital was involved we would send him back to SA. If he is going back, much more likely its because he's been told that he is no longer safe here given what occurred.

You cannot fathom it? Or, you do not want to fathom it? I have a hard time believing this kid is involved (since he was in the blast radius of a bomb he knew was going to explode); however, I do not have a hard time believing that our government would ship a suspect to Saudi, with some agreement being made between our government and the Saudi government that the individual will be interrogated and punished there.

Come on. The political fallout from that would be unimaginable.

If we think he's involved, he's not going anywhere.

Political fallout only occurs when something is exposed.

If we think he's involved, he's not going anywhere.

Not true. Plenty of individuals who have carried out attacks on Americans have been detained by American personnel and handed over to other countries in the Middle East over the past decade.

I understand him wanting to leave after what happened and his name being publicized as an initial suspect. But why deportation on "national security grounds" (if true). If he has been cleared, why not just go home.

You are insane if you think that, given the enormity of this and the attention it is getting, we would just effectively let the guy go.

I think the only people who would push this absurd contention are those who might like to portray the administration as soft on terrorism, and Muslims in particular. Basically, its a subtle dig at Obama.

That its Hannity citing his unidentified "sources" makes it evident to me that the story is either false or that they are omitting the point that its a safety issue.

It wasn't Hannity. It was his guest. Who knows whether it is accurate or not.

I think that it is a possibility. You think it cannot be fathomed (I take it you are absolutely ruling out such a possibility).

I'm not taking a dig at Obama in the least, further I am not "pushing this contention". I am asserting that it is possible and I have plenty of experiences with said government to think that it is within the realm of possibilities (further, I am not even disparaging this procedure if it occurred).

Ah, so this is going to be the irrational Obamahate right wing nut conservative blogosphere conspiracy theory of the week, huh?

I'll go ahead and mark you guys down as promoting it and you can just assume every time you post something about it that I ask for any logical reason to do it -- you have none. I ask for any proof -- you have none. And we'll just assume the usual dialogue after that, mmmk?

Two logical reasons come immediately to mind: one, maintain good relationship with Saudi Arabia; two, we can much more "effectively" exploit this person for information in Saudi Arabia than on US soil. It's a win-win for some.

I ask for any proof -- you have none. And we'll just assume the usual dialogue after that, mmmk?

I am not proving anything; I am asserting that it is within the realm of possibilities. You are asserting that it is not; thus, your argument actually requires proof. Feel free to provide it.

Come on LG? If the most transparent administration ever had lived up to half of that statement, people would not be so suspicious.

I also firmly believe that Obama's worst fear in this event is that the perpatrators are ME Muslims. I think he desperately wants it to be southern white NRA members.

I'm not making the claim to hate on Obama. In fact, I doubt he had much choice (or say) in the matter if it did in fact happen
