Obamacare wouldn't be such a big deal if the economy was kicking ass and unemployment was around 4%..its just bad economic policy to introduce this during an economic downturn. Some might even call it retarded.
If you like your insurance, your spouse can't keep it.
Looks like UPS ain't the only one dropping spousal coverage - those racists at The University of Virginia are doing so as well.
University of Virginia cuts some health benefits, citing ObamaCare costs - The Hill's Healthwatch
the trainwreck continues.
I would think several companies will be adopting the same policy. It is very good business sense to do so. From the OP artlicle all they are cutting is the spouses that will be covered through their place of employment. Thr spouses that will not be covered through their employment will still be covered by thr University of Virginia. Apppears to me this is the smart way to comply with the ACA.
Yep
Spouses get cut rate insurance in the name of aca. It's BS
Can we say" destroying the middle class" ?
All together now. ""
If I am understanding the ACA. If the husband and wife both work for companies that employ 50 or more employees then the companies each work for is required to provide insurane to each employee.
Is that correct? If so then the husband and wife would be forced into different policies. This is a weird law.

"Well, the (Obamacare) bill is crafted in such a way that those who are undocumented will not have access to the tax credits or shopping in the (health insurance) marketplace. That has been limited, which is, frankly, why -- another very keen reason why we need comprehensive immigration reform," Sebelius told a gathering of Latinos in Philadelphia.
I'm sure we are all stunned to learn of another missed deadline.

Nancy Pelosi waxed rhapsodic in 2010 as she imagined the benefits of Obamacare: Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance.
Well, that was the economy we used to have. But as Obamacare begins to kick in, artists, photographers, writers, and other members of the creative class who have access to health insurance programs through numerous professional organizations will lose that coverage.
Up until now professional organizations have worked with insurance providers to craft reduced-rate plans for their members. But thanks to the fine print in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), on January 1, 2014, many of these plans will fail to pass legal muster.
