No, he's coaching at a school that hadn't had a losing season in 15 years when he inherited it and he's driven them to three. A school that was a consistent top 25 school when he inherited it. A school that won the ACC 5 years before he became their head coach.
And Groh has never taken a team to a BCS bowl...I don't know where you got that idea.
And he's driven it into the ground. The only reason UVA is in the bottom of the ACC is their coach.
If Hamilton doesn't get a big name, and the coach struggles next season, Hamilton will be fired.
Go 3-9 or worse and see of he still has a job after next year.
Hmm--UVA has won 10 games once in 1989. They won 9 last year. They have had many losing years including 1-10 years in the 80s. Yes, they have been a 7-5, 6-6 team recently but they are not a powerhouse program. They are a Vandy but playing in a weaker conference. So he won 9 games last year and he blows? He may win 6 this year but it was supposed to be a rebuild year for a traditionally weak team. He is a good coach again not changing the world but a good coach.
I missed the Mort interview - since we're getting transcripts today (thanks from those of us who missed it),
What were the comments on Gruden?
Did he say, "flirting" as in, just stringing Tennessee and everyone else along, but that's all it would be.

Posted via VolNation Mobileyou are actually a lot closer than most people would believe.
I've been reading about these "clues" for two days, but think that I've missed a few.
Could someone summarize them for everyone, so that we can take an honest stab at this - if, in fact, it's not a hoax, which many believe it to be.
I am also assuming that you will confirm the answers we provide, if correct?
Lastly, I am also assuming that you are asserting that this coach, or package of coaches, is a done deal - or that there is a greater than 85% chance that your mystery candidate actually materializes as the new coach. Is that also correct?
Give us something to do instead of argue about our respective coaching candidates.
So, let's hear the clues, please.
Edit: Don't forget the Tremors clue. It actually ties into the Yancey Thigpen clue as well.

Well I like that we are approaching guys like Lovie. We need a big name. Kelly is not the answer. So why not approach Billick and others, maybe even some OCs or DCs in the NFL.
I have reviewed his recruiting at Cincy compared to what it was before and already know he is a disaster nothing else is necessary but that fact he is a prick certifies it.
Why does UT need a big name? I thought they were looking for a good coach and Kelly is a good coach and so are other candidates that were mentioned. Just because someone has coached in the NFL doesn't mean they're gonna be guaranteed success in college (ala Sherman @ Texas A&M).
