ESPN at it again

Jesus Jr. not only threw that INT...but he also wanted to part of tackling Mr. Berry as far as I could tell. My wife's entire family (all Buckeye fans from Cincinnati...but letting me watch the game in a form of shared custody while they watched the OSU game) was laughing its collective butt off at how Tebow backpedaled and then casually let Berry get by him....they just kept on saying "look at his eyes...he wants nothing to do with him."

Truth.

I was watching college football live yesterday and they had one of the plays of the years segments that goes along to a song. Needless to say the only time Tennessee was shown in a good light was the Gerald Jones catch against UK. The rest of the time we were on the receiving end of the plays. The Jackson punt return, the Cal sack against Ainge, the Percy Harvin spin move, the Tebow leap over Hefney, the Hester plow over Vinson, etc. It just ticks me off that they seem to do that intentionally every year and I am personally ready for a year that they can't help but to show highlights of the Vols in a positive light. I really hope '08 is that year. A guess at least we were not a recipient of the last highlight which of course went to Michigan.

This post is a perfect example of the "crybaby" mentality some of our fans seem to love to spew. ESPN has nothing against us. They didn't say "lets see how many plays we can show that make Tennessee look bad". Please grow up. We need to realize we got our azzes handed to us on three separate occaisions with many big plays against us. Quit crying and try your best to inform yourself a little better

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. When Tebow threw the INT, he had every intention of tackling Berry but if you will remember, Berry made a move on him at midfield and then outran everyone to the endzone. I find it hard to believe that a competitive, tough QB like Tebow wouldn't want to tackle a guy who was about to take his ill advised pass to the endzone for a pick 6.

How about this spin: Berry's play, while amazing, wasn't as visually stimulating as the other plays shown. He intercepted a pass and ran it back 90+ yards. He made it look easy. He didn't juke anybody.

ESPN and other networks probably choose good plays that also have some sort of visually captivating aspect.

Eric Berry made a play because he's excellent, and he made it look easy.

Don't make it sound so easy. You know ESPN was just shafting Tennessee.:p

He didn't look like he was interested in tangling with Berry to me. The move may have been better than it looked on the television...but Tebow seemed to backpedal more than choose an angle and go for the tackle.

Edit: He was coming in at an angle...and I guess it's hard to say whether he was slowing up to tackle him or not...but it really appeared that he was trying to corral him and let someone else make the tackle.

Where did you go? Are you on your way to Bristol?

ESPN has it out for the SEC except for Florida. To them the whole conf. is nothing but cheaters. I hate ESPN at time. And during basketball season they kiss so much Duke butt. Duke is a great program, but there are 4 or 5 programs with more wins and national titles.

Your crazy, I have heard more than one ESPN analyst proclaim the SEC as the greatest football confernece on numerous occasions.

As I always say, the "ESPN hates us" line is completely played out...get over it...
