Empty Neyland Movement (#uncluttervolnation)

About what?

The fact this is funny (to the point I don't see it serious) considering I think he's fired and doesn't want to come back even if Currie wanted him to?

Yes, if so.

You said you were an owner of a successful business. He said you didn't understand business.

I was being silly.

Don't overthink it. This isn't a finance exam.

I promise you the university will notice if 30k fans don't attend the remaining football game. They've planned their year around receiving that revenue.

So, you think UT will notice the 3500 tickets that have not been sold for the game, because that is all UT has to sell. Every other ticket available is from some poor guy that bought too many this year.

so that is 3500 X 40 = $140,000.00

UT hires someone to run the concessions, so the money is split 3 ways: UT, Whoever is running concessions and six stands are non-profit.

I don't think the financial impact to UT is as great as the financial impact to Knoxville.

You keep firing em til you get it right..no different from drafting qb's..

Which ironically enough there may be 3 people above dirt that don't want him fired. I happen to not be one of those 3, and there's a good chance Jones ain't one either.

Now that's a movement I can get behind.

Will it break the bank? No.

Will the university feel the impact if suddenly 30k people aren't attending the game? Absolutely.

I'm going to make some broad assumptions:
30k people
$40 of incremental revenue in merchandise and concessions
Flow through to bottom line of ~25%

= 300k of profit

dude..how many x does someone need to say it? It is an indication of the financial support they can expect going forward...No one thinks the small financial hit on sat f lost 3500 in tix or concessions is that impactful in a vacuum.

I'm waiting to hear back from volngumpland about the mizzu game. My kids aren't smart enough to keep from freezing.

I don't have tickets to SM. If I did I would use them. It's not a ticket problem is a scheduling issue.

Why use them? I've been told that if we don't all give away our tickets to kids, the next Peyton Manning won't come to UT.

No reason to. I've yet to take the movement that way.

No. I actually own a very profitable business.

Thanks for asking.

No offense but don't believe you. I have never met a single successful business owner who took the attitude "go ahead and boycott my product, I've already got your money, and your measly purchase power won't affect my business."

dude ... how many times (or X) does it need to be said that there are other ways to voice an opinion. Donations are do March 1st, do you really think if butch is still here UT will see the hit financially. If you really don't think it means more, be late giving your donation and see how many times they call.

what are those other ways that are as impactful?

and to answer your question, yes, they will take a massive hit if he is still here...a half empty stadium makes that clear...a full stadium says they might not.

If Tatum quit, could it be because of his disappointment about this movement.? Players know - I’d be upset about it if I were a player.

Just asking. Just sayin.

It’s going to hurt more than help. Next potential coaches may question going to a school with a crazy fan base like this too

It’s gonna happen we just have to be patient which isn’t easy I get it

Name a fan base that isn't crazy and I'll name you a mediocre football program.
