Empty Neyland Movement (#uncluttervolnation)

Agreed
Though someone will power & $$$
Wants this over soon.

For this to be taken so far so quickly.

Smells of power struggle.

I think the situation has gotten too charged up on the hill and I think you are right on the money. The next 72 hours could get very cray cray. Some deal was reached earlier and Butch was supposed to have been gone by now. Then something or somebody threw a wrench into the deal sometime Sunday and Butch was still standing come Monday morning. Somebody on the other side just upped the ante big time. This is of course pure speculation (as is everything else on VN these past 10 weeks except for final scores)😁

If there are 100000 in the seats this week and for the LSU game and Butch manages to win 6 games then Butch will be our coach next year. Thats what the AD is waiting on . If people are still going to show up then why change coaches and spend money. ITS A BUSINESS. They don't care if we win its about money . The only reason wins play in this at all is if people don't show up when we lose .

It's a business.... that already has the money for the tickets.

They may have the season ticket money but will lose out on concessions and will be embarrassed on tv cause you know there is no untelevised games anymore!

I think the whole issue cones down to the accumulated fear and frustration from how many times the fans have been burned before. At any other school, the fans would probably await the firing of a coach much more calmly with much more faith in their AD. Currie should have more time and leeway to make the choice on his on time line (i am including myself in the unreasonable group here). But Hamilton and Hart sabatoged us so thoroughly with their accumulated ineptitude that it is well nigh impossible for us to not fear in the depths of our psyche that Currie is just looking for any excuse to bring Butch back. Because thats just the kind of thing that UT aleays does!!!!

I hope the national TV audience for Tennessee/Southern Miss isn't too hard on us.

Oh and with Butch at the helm we are losing to Southern Miss! He will not adapt or change anything. He will be without more Oline players and we know how well this Offense performs when all is healthy.

I seriously believe the protest will be over very soon.

This story getting Yahoo is very, very bad for both Currie & Butch.

Someone if not both should be gone by this weekend.

That's not a hopeful guess but a reality on this story and the pile on that's about to happen.
Hitting yahoo it's about to get ugly. And guessing by the VFL coordinator quitting due to harassment.

My $$$ is Butch is about to be out really quick.

Hate Currie didn't do what needed to be done after Alabama

:eek:lol: you're kllilng me....

wrong, it shows this fanbase actually DOES have a breaking point, and it will affect their thinking when it comes to hiring the next coach when they see we're not ALL sheep and have ZERO problem organizing and protesting this slop they keep feeding us

yep. an emotional reaction. we agree. carry on.

You just want Butch to stay...

Oh wait, nevermind

:p

Considering Butch is probably gone after the season regardless, what's the point?

This so-called movement is also asking fans to directly and adversely affect local businesses who rely on UT football's 6-7 home games every fall.

And it's a bad look for recruits.

He gone.

They re worried about Currie kicking a dead carp off the dock instead of hooking a trophy.

Who y'all coach gonna be?

Y'all #emptyingtheswamp til he's hired?

If you read the tea leaves around these parts, Frost is the leader in the clubhouse.

It feels a bit like 2004 when Urban Meyer was deciding between his "dream job" at Notre Dame and some Johnny Come Lately program in Gainesville with no history or tradition.

VT's coach is being mentioned quite a bit, and Mullen.

Frost makes a lot of sense.

Saves on moving costs as well.
