That type of thinking gets you mediocrity.
A losing hand is a losing hand, even if the 5 becomes a 6 when other teams have the Royal Flush.
If the hire is not right, we are back to the movements, hashtags, hissy fits, and demands from the exact same bunch.
Perhaps it would be better understand the game and the strategy before pretending to sit at the table and yell "hit me".
This is what happens when you want too much Texas Hold'm on TV and think you are a poker expert.
Baloney..no one is saying they forced Saban's hiring..their lack of support for Shula DID get him fired.
Act like an adult and don't use a childish word like "butthurt". What are you, a high school kid?
Where did I mention the game?
Butch Jones STOLE checkered Neyland from the fans. Let's give him the fans vote on him.
Us as fans have a vote. I hope, hope, hope this has been enough for Currie. But let's show no doubt.
There is a #emptyneyland going. Fans get behind this leave no doubt on what we will tolerate.
We all are screaming to fire Butch, fire Currie.
It's simple join empty Neyland movement if Butch remains head coach through tomorrow midday.
This will force the change that is needed. And the fans only vote.
Burn tickets on social media. Tag in Currie,Jones, and sports media outlets.
We all support the players. Let's help them remove the man (Butch Jones) that is hurting their development and causing them losses.
I can't bring myself to do it.
Yes, you'd hope the players would realize who it's aimed at. But still.
We're to fixated on this one means of protest. There are other actions. Line up outside Neyland with picket signs. Hell, take the risk of getting arrested. Our players put themselves in harms' way. How 'bout us as well!
Fire Butch, but Go Vols!!
Playing players hurt.
The VFL coordinator quit due to hostile work environment.
IF Butch is not fired before Saturday. What exactly are you supporting?
One of my kids played college sports. I know what it means to players to have fans show up.
Fight the terrible coach and coaching decisions. Show up for the team.
#EmptyNeyland isn't the only tactic that can be used.
Then you of all people would value player safety. This is just the tip of the ice berg.
More stories are about to roll out on player abuse & making players play and lying about their injuries.
i agree, but in this case, the vast majority of the money is spent. save whatever unrelaized concession revenue.
so this movement, for this game, will have little effect on the actual pocket books of those they're thinking they're affecting.
it's an emotional reaction to make them think they have a role somewhere in this whole thing. that's it.
Nope, the players don't deserve it. Go support them. The decision has already been made.
