Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The thieves guild quest is looooooong. I have been playing it for a long time now and still am not at the end of it. Dwarven ruins are not fun to go through, pretty tough. Fairly interesting storyline for the thieves guild, definitely didn't expect it to take a turn like this.

How can the Dwemer ruins be a downer? That's where the strongest enemies are!

Not a downer just really tough.

Finished the thieves guild last night. Pretty good. I thought the reward could have been a little better.

Level 25 right now and have only done 3 of the main quest objectives. Thinking about knocking a few of those out tonight, before starting on the College of Winterhold. Has anyone done all the College yet? How is it?

Have fun. I am only level 15, but went back and did a main story quest last night. I just had fireball dual wielded and went through the whole quest like a FPS game with one tap of the triggers killing everybody but the "boss" I encountered.

I think I'm going to do some main quest line for a bit and catch up to about where I should be so I don't get to the point where I can beat the story with one hand.

V1 and v2 no doubt lulz ^^^

I'm a werewolf and a nightingale from the thieves guild, whatever that means. You get some sweet armor though. The Falmer are a pain in the backside once you start getting into the dwemmer ruins. I'm at level 27 and those little gollums were kicking my butt, I think I need a new approach.

I've gotten lazy. I like to conjure atronach's and then use the shout that makes me invincible and just sit there for a bit and then hide in the corner.

Some of the indirect magic skills are too easy to level up. I've been just running around casting an illusion spell whenever I'm walking somewhere and leveling up the illusion skill to a pretty high level.

Clever. I use the healing spell and fall off of high areas to injure myself while I'm traveling haha

So, is this game the chit so far?

Even if it was a rehash of Oblivion with a new map and some minor touch ups, it would still be awesome.

Yeah it feels the same as oblivion to me, even though I realize there's a whole bunch that's changed.

It is a lot better, though.

I never played Morrowind but a couple posters mentioned that Skyrim felt more like Morrowind than Oblivion to them, FWIW

Oblivion's world is just so stagnant and unrealistic compared to the other two, and that's the main problem with it in my mind.

Morrowind was definitely made to some dated standards even for the time, but the open-endedness of it made Oblivion seem like you were on rails by comparison.

Am I the only one who thinks this feels more like Morrowind than Oblivion? I mean, the last time I logged 40 hours in one week was with Morrowind.

Sure, Oblivion made technological leaps and bounds just like Skyrim, but I thought Oblivion lacked the immersive feel that originally sucked me into Morrowind. Skyrim's got it, man. You'll go to a town to finish a quest and walk out of that same town with 5 new things to do.

Plus, there were enemies that were still a challenge in Morrowind after you hit 20. Oblivion went into easymode after that milestone, but I'm 31 and find myself nearly one-shot by an ancient dragon.

LOVE IT!

EDIT: Hell, now that I look at it, Oblivion's world was just a transplant of Medieval Europe. Skyrim's got the Nordic (as in the northern Euro folks of ancient times) feel, but there's still a ton of originality in it. However, Morrowind was the best in that regard. It looked like Fern Gully on acid.
