Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Is killing dragons open ended? Or is each dragon a linear quest? Like can I just go hunt dragons in my spare time, or is there a set number of dragon quests? I'm thinking about picking this up. I got semi-addicted to Oblivion for like 3 weeks, then I got crazy addicted to Fallout 3 until I had gotten the platinum trophy on PS3.

I'm not a huge RPG fan, but when I play one, I play the hell out of it.
There are only a handful of mission-specific dragon fights the rest are random. They pop up everywhere, even towns and cities.

Cool. I will probably devote several weeks to this game, but there is no sense buying it right now with all my time being devoted to battlefield 3. I'll wait and see if it goes on sale sometime in the near future.

Ah, Christmas. I forgot about Christmas. Surely I can wait a month and a half.

LMK if you guys see it on sale for black friday for $40 or less.

I am the exact same, want this game but Battlefield is taking up my time!

Of course, I'm so impulsive, I'll probably buy it this weekend anyway. I can almost guarantee you it will happen.

I would not recommend waiting. Get it now. I took care of a lot of video game business before this came out. Battlefield, Uncharted, COD, because I knew my video game life would be over.

Why would you not recommend waiting? It's a single player game, what do I lose by waiting? Or was that a typo and you meant you would recommend waiting until I'm done with BF3?

I had a Dragon randomly attack me while I was messing with two giants. The giants wound up destroying the dragon with me sniping them with the bow the whole time.

When the dragon died, I was positioned near a giant. He calmly turned to me and bashed my head open with his stick, then turned and walked away. Thought that was pretty funny.

I just don't have time for an RPG right now. Plus, lately I have had a hard time getting into single player games. It's the 21st century. Even classic single player RPGs should have some sort of element that involves other people. At least make markets or something where you can trade and interact with the web-o-sphere.

Really, I'm just trying to talk myself out of it, because I know I'll spend $60 on it and play it religiously for 2 weeks, then dump it.

The day The Elder Scrolls become multiplayer is the day it dies. Keep that **** in CoD.

Joined up with the Legion & took down the Stormcloaks tonight. Didn't get off the couch for 8 straight hours... I still haven't scratched but a hair of the land.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Just watched E3 gameplay video on YouTube. Buying when I get off work.

I think I built it up too much. I was expecting a revolutionary RPG. It's just an elder scrolls game. I'm sure I'll get into it though I've only put in an hour.
