Duce Staley blasts David Reaves

We are 2-2 against Richt in the last four years. Maybe Fulmer was his equal too.

Not only his equal, he's better. Phil was a pretty good coach, and I'm not going to let the last few years of his Tenn career dictate his entire career.

Still looking for the 100 holes. Nothing you said changes anything in my post, as a matter of fact your "First" argument is in reference to an edit he made after my post. Your second argument is weak based on the stat he gave showing that you guys are sub .500 this decade. Maybe no doormat but not even middle of the pack.

He had a pretty well thought out post and gave new information on the Reaves-Staley deal. Your post is the same drivel spread by the other cock fans.

So, explain the fact that you hired our recruiting coordinator and sent him out to try and steal a bunch of our recruits.

Truth is, if Spurrier would have gone to Knoxville you'd have taken him in a second over Kiffen and you know it.

I thought you guys made an out of this word tremendous hire 4 years ago. Now it's looking rather mediocre. Let's face it, Spurrier won with Duke and UF, but seems to have met his match now that the SEC seems to have figured him out. It's not his offenses that scare people anymore, it's more about his defensive coordinators that keep you guys somewhat competitive.

I know Kiffin is a risk, but he has success written all over him(mostly bases on his college resume). Spurrier seems to be getting past his prime and wouldn't be here for the long haul anyway.

Oh, forgot to address the first thing. You do know that Kiffin hired his brother-in-law when he did that right? And as far as I know, we tried to recruit someone that was originally commited to us and he said no. You guys really seem to take things personally there.

Where are you guys coming from? Good grief, it's like kicking down a wall in a slum house, and watching the roaches run all over the place...

Are things that dull in Columbia?....wait...never mind.

Yes, we hired your recruiting coordinator. By most measures, he's doing well here. Mind you, we didn't kidnap him, we hired him. He clearly prefers Knoxville to Columbia. Perhaps you should vent your frustration on him.

Spurrier. Here we go again. Johnson City product. UF player. Heisman winner. Head coach at Duke, then UF, then USCe. Success against UT at all three, albeit only recent success at USCe.

Spurrier was never a factor in the coaching search. Trust me. He's way past his prime (ring a bell?), and riding out his sunset years at a program where he knows 7 wins are job security. That won't cut it here, as has been proven.

USCe beat a 5-7 UT team. You'd think you guys just walloped Florida, the way you've piled in here to share your wisdom with us.

I take solace in the fact that, beginning with the UT-USCe game next year, I don't think we'll be seeing much of you around here. For a long, long time.

Thanks for stopping by.

this is good news.
we all hate meyer for a reason and that is because he is cutthroat and shrewd. that is what finishes first in sec recruiting. thats what the program needs. the more people that hate us the better we are doing. no one hates vandy.

I HATE vandy!

I love this bold prediction of a guy that hasn't done anything as a head coach on any level. Who most people on the outside think is an awful hire.

We'll see how long you like this "stolen" recruiting coordinator when he's boozing it up in every bar in town. Or when he doesn't realize a prospect is D-1 until he reads it on Rivals. I bet none of "his" recruits jump ship from USC, and I bet more highly regarded recruits come to USC this year. He's doing well in Knoxville, based on what. Reeling in the two recruits you lost to USC?

Spurrier wasn't a factor in the coaching search, by his choosing. Just like with LSU, UNC, Alabama, and Miami. And don't think for a second most of those programs aren't on UT's level. Don't kid yourself if he made it known he was available the process would have started and stopped at Spurrier.

If you read my original post you'd have realized that I could care less about the fact that you "hired" Reaves. You'll figure out why eventually.

We upgraded moving Beamer into his position. Believe me, you folks will all get to know Reaves well. He's the life of the party.

The thing I am, and all Gamecock fans are ticked about, is that not only is he calling committed recruits (kids who committed months ago, not Giles) he's also calling guys we signed and placed in prep school last year. Not to mention that he is lying to them.

I'm sorry if it offends you guys that some of us think we are close to being level par with you. Obviously, the W's and L's don't equal out, but we've competed with you very well since 2000 and it has opened up a lot of SC kid's eyes. A lot of the kids who use to leave SC to play at UT are now staying and that is a big part of the reason why we feel better about our program than we did in the 90's and big part of the reason why you feel worse.

2-7? Hope you keep competing like that.

Man, this is some good stuff. I didnt think I would be this entertained at work tonight...

Spurrier washed up. Anyone here looked at the latest Rivals recruiting rankings? I know. Its hard to look at. USCe #8.

Well last time USC was #8 at something they lost, what six games in a row. So, I wouldn't look too far into it.
