Duce Staley blasts David Reaves

I can see it now. Yeah we passed on Steve Spurrier, for a much better candidate. You know Lane Kiffin, the guy that's won all those games.

The media thinks it's an awful hire. I can see if you still made the hire, and Spurrier was available.

The same media had GA as preseason #1. Dang they are great at gauging potential.

Only a jerk-troll with no life would go to another SEC teams message board and spew out this garbage. Hes no USC fan. I have some USC friends and they have CLASS. Not like this BOZO! DONT FEED THE TROLL!

Lane Kiffin has a future. Spurrier has the past.

Captain Obvious both guys have a future and a past. One is considered one of the better college coaches ever, the other is considered a huge risk. So yeah Kiffin has a future, good or bad who knows.

I'd rather take a risk, than someone who I know will be mediocre for a few years before retiring.

Let him continue to embarrass himself.

LSU blew it with their hire. Miles has 3 years or so before he is gone. Alabama is 10x happier with the guy they have now.

That has zero to do with whether Spurrier could have gotten a job at both of those program. Because you know he could have.

And they would have regretted it.

Say what you want, but Spurrier is graduating his first recruiting class, and he hasn't been close to winning the SEC East.

Yeah cause Alabama didn't want him. Might I add a much bigger traditional SEC and national power. Miami didn't want him. Might I add a much bigger national power. Should we touch LSU also? Should I continue.
I'll guarantee you I know a hell of a lot more about the inner workings of the University of Miami football program than you probably do about your family. Spurrier came as close to getting that job as Gerry Di Nardo did. You might be able to babble off at the mouth and look smart on boards inhabited by the mongoloids who follow South Carolina football. Around here, we just laugh at you.

The same media that had Tennessee #3 in the preseason in 2005 and fell all over itself telling everyone how Spurrier was going to make South Carolina an SEC contender.

Did a guy rooting for a team with a 7-5 record (a good record for his team) really just ask us how the gutter is?

I was going to ask how it feels to be rivals with Clemson, but then I realized it is pretty generous for them to consider you guys their rivals, considering they just kick the s*** out of you guys on what is pretty much a yearly basis.

Everything I've stated is fact. I wasn't rude to anyone, until they were rude to me.

It's just funny that Spurrier is so washed up, but he could have had a job at better programs then Tenn. He's finished higher then Tenn in the East half the time he's been at USC, and he's beaten Tenn half the time he's been at USC.

If this weren't a Vols board they'd laugh at you guys. Because while USC has awful history, at this moment we are better shape then Tenn.

Yeah, the half where we had a losing record. That doesn't take a lot of skill.

I guess not. He's stated a hundred times the only job he wants is USC.

I wasn't attempting to look smart, but at the very least I'm glad someone took it that way. Open your eyes. There are mongloids at every stadium in the SEC.

If I was a Gamecocks fan, I may hope Spurrier is washed up, because it doesn't say much about your program when Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier try to turn you into a winner and both fail.

That doesn't mean we care.

USCe under Spurrier

2005: 7-5
2006: 8-5
2007: 6-6
2008: 7-5

I can see why you are so optimistic. There is nowhere to go but up.

The job Spurrier wants is USC. I'll agree....

But he'll be gone as soon as he gets full membership to Augusta. And instead of averaging 7 wins a year you'll be back to 4 or 5.

And it doesn't say a whole lot about your program that it's finished in worse shape half the time Spurrier's been here.
