Ya really. He's a great athlete that can run but I've yet to see what I need to see from him throwing the ball.
Thanks Nationdom you proved my point. You have yet to see ANYTHING AT ALL OUT OF Dormady" in a game.
Dobbs threw for 62 % average in his 2 seasons that sounds way to inconsistent to play for Tennessee right?
I watched the games pal and his downfield accuracy isn't where it needs to be to win a natty. A lot of guys can dink it around.
Nobody has been more pro Dormady than myself...except perhaps the coaches. However you cannot name one person on this board who has called for him to start over Dobbs. It just hasn't happened. You're simply arguing for the sake of argument, and your assertion has no basis in reality.
He needs to play the entire 4th quarter of the BG game IMO. Wide open, no safe play calling either.
Dobbs has been wildly inconsistent, if he doesn't figure it out soon this year QD should be inserted. I don't think Jones will make the same mistake he did last year.
"Wildly inconsistent"? 63% completion rate ain't wildly anything. Hope he's improved his ability to be accurate deep down the field outside the hashes.....those are about the only throws he's struggled with.
He didn't win anything with his arm. Opposing teams are going to make him beat us with his arm, I pray he can do it. If not don't waste any time and put Dormady in.
BGSU - 1 1/2 quarters
W. Carolina - 1 1/2 quarters
Kentucky - 1 quarter
N. Texas - 1 1/2 quarters
Vandy - 1 quarter
---------------------------------
2015 total: 6 1/2 quarters of play, some of it "at speed," some just trash time (but even "trash time" is hugely valuable when you're new to the league)
[plus any time playing for a shaken up, bruised or otherwise injured Josh Dobbs]
This is pretty accurate. When teams were smart and shut down his ability to run, or extend plays with his legs he struggled. When he has the ability to move he's pretty effective, but when forced to beat a team throwing the results are mixed.
